Arabella Estrem is a tiefling with ambition and full control of her situation, and that fact is very apparent upon the briefest meeting with her. She is the head of a rather high-class estate, very politically powerful despite other nobles feeling as if she’s the last person you should be giving such a thing to. No one truly knows how she rose up in power away from her parents’ estate, but most are too afraid to ask. She uses this power to influence the city to her best interests discreetly, using more subtle methods so that no one could truly pin it down as her being the one to change things, but makes things much easier for herself and her.. Projects along the way.
About
Arabella was born within the manor walls of her family home. The youngest of three children, she was the genetic lottery. The only one of her siblings to inherit the incredibly rare tiefling genetics from her father. Such good fortune also came with a heavy burden. Her childhood was guarded, filled with expectations and endless standards. She went everywhere her father went as a small child. As much as she adored her father, she coveted the moments of freedom she would get. Times when she could not go along with him, times when she could wander off into the empty hallways and play in the gardens. Her first misadventure into the public streets of the capitol had been trying at best. Her devilish appearance had many of the poor peons under her family's rule in arms. Dragging their children away and threatening her to leave though none made any motion to do her harm. Too young to fully understand the scope of how this event had hurt her, she was rescued by her father Orion. Watching as he and their family's guards escorted the men and women away, in chains. She witnessed her first public hanging at age six. Normality was a strange word in the Estrem manor. Violence, cruelty, intimidation were the tactics her father employed to deal with anything that brought him displeasure. Arabella herself was kept away from the worst of it, made to focus on her education.
It was during this time that Arabella had made critical mistake when studying the magical rituals her father had set up for her to practice. The runes she copied were off and she made contact with a being of unimaginable power. Siphoning energy from it unlocked abilities she didn't realize she could do. It was in this moment she became a warlock, diverging from the path of wizardry her father had set her on. A temporary rift formed between her and Orion. Critical of her mistakes, his disappointment in her was a difficult thing to grapple with.

[ Lovers ] After a long while of abstaining from relationships or love, thanks to her poor experience in the past, meeting Odilia changed her view on that. She felt a kindred soul in the woman; someone not afraid to do dark and considerably heinous things to survive, and someone just as sick of corrupt political figures as herself... Plus, Odilia continuously appeals to her feminine desire to be constantly flattered and drowned in gifts, so that’s a plus, too.

Trivia
- Contrary to popular belief, it isn’t the violence or murder that entices her towards her demonic magics; it’s the taboo and power behind it that drives her to continue her craft.
- Arabella is quite fond of hosting galas or balls, and is always the center of attention within them. She’s always had a natural way with public events, especially when she or her family was hosting them, so it’s little surprise that she is so widely renowned as being in control of her situation at all times.
- She is sometimes privy to small prophetic visions given to her by the being she made a deal with, most often in relation to missions her partner, Odilia Vadas, is on, but sometimes relevant to a danger that she herself might be in… Those are less frequent.
- Despite her.. Interesting upbringing, there is a small part of her that desires for a family. Not necessarily to say that she isn’t content where she is, but an idea developed in her mind one day and never left of building a family of her own, away from her previous one. She has yet to bring this up to her partner.
