Acai Mulberry is the oldest of his siblings, and has taken responsiblity looking out for them often. Many ponies were unsure of this due to his blindness, but he moves well enough within the community and his own home to be able to make sure the two don't get into trouble and grow to be strong and helpful members of society. He doesn't allow his blindness to stop him from doing his purpose and helping others.

Acai actually runs a jam and berry business. His nose is able to locate edible berries that can be used for jams, jellies, and other berry-related delights. He has actually learned to memorized which berries are considered poisonious. He especially doesn't want anyone messing with that poison joke!

Acai can come off as quite rude and blunt at times. This isn't because he's trying to be mean, but because he has found being straightforward an effective approach. He does try to treat most people respectfully, especially while they're customers of his. However sometimes he can appear grumpy compared to his younger siblings. Especially if his surroundings change without warning since he can't see them, along with if others decide to treat him like a child due to said disability.

This all is due to the no nonsense attitude he can carry, and because he's had too many ponies try to make up for his disability. He doesn't find his disability a problem and finds it more of a problem when others do.
