♡“my angel”: Ashley gave it to her ever since they were 14, it was when she came to term that she had a crush on Naomie.

♡“Useless cunt”: Neoma gave it to her, as a “motivation for her to become useful”

Personality

Good personality traits:

• Freethinker; she was alienated from the rest, no matter how hard she tried. So, why bother trying again ? The authority was never right, so she thinks based on her observation and morals. Even if they're wrong. It really helps her grow more and more independent from her siblings after the incident, and finally live on her own, without resorting to violence on every person she comes across to. sometimes it makes her do very stupid shit but it's okay. yes she's the blacksheep of the family lmao
• assertive; she really became assertive after the incident. She was very passive but she had to stand up for herself more once there was literally NO ONE to stand up for her. Celia is not the best person for it, against someone like Neoma. She started saying no, being argumentative, no matter the consequences. It was hard at first, but she grew numb to everything at the end. You gotta be tough when you're left all by yourself, and when you're in possession of supernatural power that could kill you if someone takes advantage of it. Plus, learning how to be assertive rather than physically aggressive spared other people's lives, lol
• cooperative; she knows how to work with other people, despite her very argumentative nature. If it helps her survive and avoid making enemies, then might as well work with someone who is not as crazy or stupid as someone. It helps her in the long run when she is only by herself.
• realistic; she has stupid opinions but she has an idea of what might work, what might doesn’t, without being too optimistic or pessimistic about it. She looks at different perspectives, hence her cooperativeness despite her many negative traits. She will grin and bear whatever comes with what she does. She can think on the long term, hence her planning on running away later on, how she will act and who she can trust, and when is the right timing. 

Bad personality traits: 

• rude; nasty tongue that does not hold back. She might be as tolerant as Celia but no matter what her feelings are towards you, she will be offensive and shit on what you’re doing, wearing, or your existence in general. To be fair, she was not taught great social skills either, so it kinda worsens it in the aspect of what she should say and what she should just keep to herself. And for someone who absolutely hates having her personal space invaded, she lacks respect for other people’s boundaries. 
• insolent (especially towards Neoma); she is very bad mannered and lacks lots of disciplines, to say the least. She talks to everyone in the same way- for her, you earn her respect, you don’t automatically get it. It really puts her in a tight position sometimes, especially since she acts this way mostly with Neoma.
• selfish; she is her own first priority. It does not mean that she does not give a shit about anyone either, but after they got their revenge, she rarely started taking into consideration her siblings’ needs, even Celia. Her relationship with Kit started too with him completely benefiting her, since she thought he was stupid enough to never betray her, no matter what she would ask of him or teach him. He was literally her watchdog at some point.
• sarcastic; self explanatory tbh…. But she does not always mean bad, it is the only way she knows how to joke.

Mood character is most often in: very...numb ? And detached.

Sense of humor: like Joelle, it's very dark humor, though she is way more open about it.

Character’s greatest joy in life: as weird as it sounds, her “independence”. She feels so… free, “dissociated” from everything that is happening currently. She feels like she has found peace even if Neoma is giving her a hard time.

Character’s greatest fear: perhaps, losing that independence, despite knowing that she won't lose it to any of her sisters. But to Ashley, she can. (Draft)

→ Why? She used to be so similar to Celia; just letting stuff happen to her and being like "this is fine! We gotta stay together" or something of the sort, after Naomie started fighting back, not staying silent and trying to justify other's actions, taking things in her own hands… she felt like she could twist everything about her easily,, even if anyone was giving her a hard time. Yes, she knows that Celia isn't just staying silent but Naomie thinks that her way of changing isn't right. So taking away that independence from her would mess her up completely and not let her escape the reality she’s living in. And Ashley can take that away, very easily in fact.

What single event would most throw this character’s life into complete turmoil? Being captured by anyone, since she looks like an "experiment failure", she might be an interest to scientists or anything of the sort.

Character is most at ease when: she’s sitting with Kit, having some snakes around her.

Most ill at ease when: she has to kill somebody, especially when she’s ordered to do so.

Enraged when: it takes a lot to enrage Naomie, yet just mentioning Ashley can set her off and she’d go ballistic— screaming and insulting the person who brought her up, as far as getting physical with anyone who is around… it’s okay, Celia knows how to calm her down. Neomabeatshertoobutshh

Depressed or sad when: after a fight (especially with Kit), she'd be very upset. Though, not after every fight. With her sisters, she fights quite often. So it's mostly when they bring up Ashley and blame Naomie for all what happened that she becomes depressed.

Priorities: 

• Finding food for her and herself only first, then for Neoma and the others.
• Showing that, no, she's not useless, she can be strong.
• Just surviving in general.

Life philosophy: you can create your own reality.

If granted one wish, it would be: living alone. But not for the same reasons that Neoma has.

(Another wish could be killing Ashley, but she doesn't want it granted just like that… she wants it to be worth it).

→Why? She wants to get out of this mess. She gets the worst treatment out of the girls (getting hit, scratched, slapped, hair pulling). But she would feel slightly guilty since it would mean leaving Celia dealing with all of this shit alone, so she grins and bears with it. Until Neoma finally dies.

Character’s soft spot: SNAKES. Snakes and reptiles in general; she absolutely loves them. Ever since in her early teens she'd start hunting for them (let them go after though) and observe their behavior.

Is this soft spot obvious to others? Yeah, definitely. 

Greatest strength: it's her right arm that can change itself to a snake and have the bite actually be venomous. Other than that she's kinda weak physically. Emotionally, she’s pretty detached so that helps her make her feel less guilty if she kills or harms anyone.

Greatest vulnerability or weakness: she has a very low stamina, her right arm suffers from bruises.

Biggest regret: Sleeping with Ashley, and being all "lovey dovey" with her. She thinks that what permitted Ash to use them for her little "experiment". It was Naomie who convinced her family to completely trust her.

Minor regret: (later one) abandoning Celia and Joelle. She just could not stand them anymore.

Biggest accomplishment: getting back Ashley's book of shadows, which helped them a lot to find ways to defeat her and take their revenge.

Minor accomplishment: this one is more in the future, but finally living alone with Kit in a small cabin they managed to settle in.

Past failures he/she would be embarrassed to have people know about: it was not really failures objectively, but she could not sleep without something to hug as she would have very often night terrors up until the age of 13. She still has them, but less. Also she sleeps way less often anyways.   

→ Why? It was embarrassing for her, a girl emerging into adolescence, crying about nightmares. Her parents did not help her very much, neither did her sisters. At one point, she heard her father saying something along the lines of “what an embarrassment. This girl will not survive out there.”

Character’s darkest secret: when she was around 15 years old, she had sex with Ashley when they were both drunk. Well, Ashley was more sober than her. But it was a big turning point in their friendship, they almost got together in a relationship but Naomie said that she didn’t want to get with her just cause they fucked, she wanted to explore her feelings more, as she was having a sort of identity crisis regarding her sexuality at the time. It’s only considered a dark secret due to the events that took place, she absolutely hates her past self for getting drunk that night.

Goals

Drives and motivations: honestly speaking, she barely has any drive or motivation. She is just, going with the flow of things to see what happens.She doesn’t wanna die, she is just..existing. Also, she lives just to annihilate Ashley ngl.

Immediate goals: kill Ashley. That’s the only thing important to her right now.

Long term goals: she develops those goals after killing Ashley; basically separating herself completely from her siblings because she cannot handle them anymore. Even if Celia tries to defend her, it’s just… not enough. She hates being told that “it’s okay, she is your sister”, “everything will be fixed.” No. Shut up.

How the character plans to accomplish these goals: Well, for killing Ashley...it's a group work between her siblings and herself, but she is the one who manages to deliver the last blow. 

First, they stalk her, Celia finds her book of shadows and Naomie retrieves it. Then, thanks to the information on her book, they get her and torture her for a few weeks before Naomie hangs her by the neck which eventually kills her. 

As for the other goals, she just doesn't care anymore. After Neoma dies from an infection (at this point, she had left them), Naomie leaves the group and goes to certain locations and stays with her boyfriend Kit. Of course, it’s not that easy: Celia begs her to not leave, full on crying and all of that shit. Naomie finally flips her off and screams at her to “never get near her again!”. It works!

How other characters will be affected: Ashley will perish.

Kit would be so happy! He’s living with his girlfriend, away from her all kinds of trouble.

Joelle would probably be upset, but she wouldn't force her to get back with them or anything. She has been abused for way too long, after all. Meanwhile, Celia would be even more distressed because first Neoma left, and now it’s Naomie’s turn?! Afterlife is so unfair. She just wants them to be back together.

Past

Hometown: Southeastern Massachusetts.

Type of childhood: same as her sisters, also poor. It was terrible, she had it the hardest too. She was more neglected (in an emotional way?). She wasn't given as much care and affection as the other three, most of it came from Celia. She was taught basic things, she was a very passive child though. None of her parents left a significant impact on her...she kind of saw them as just. Oh well, people providing them with the basic needs. Thanks? She was praised for being a quiet child but… it’s not like she’s excited in that world. It’s boring.

First memory: she almost drowned at the age of 5 years old. It took pleading from Celia to get her mother to save her, as James was not with them. Yeah.

Most important childhood memory: not very specific, but when she had “normal” feelings. Like when they were a normal family. A family going through some tough stuff but they were seemingly normal.

Relationship with her: Totally absent. Rena did not see her as an important daughter of hers when she was younger, since Naomie is the last one to be born (and not the 3rd..). Rena neglected her and it hurt Nomie A LOT-- Rena only started acknowledging her existence when she became 14. Naomie did not give a shit anymore though, because what the fuck is that how a mother is supposed to act?? She begged and begged for her forgiveness, but Naomie gave her the silent treatment. Then, Naomie started throwing around snarky remarks at her. Obviously, they do not miss each other.

Father: James Shay.

Relationship with him: It is a messy one, but hey, at least he acknowledged her existence ever since she was born. He really tried to be a good dad, but he was too caught up with praising the eldests and scolding the other sibling to be a model dad. James did try to comfort Naomie when Rena would neglect her, but he did try to justify her behavior which… did not please Nomie so...he was not a big part of her life either. She was similar to Celia though, so he would scold her for being “passive”. She does not really miss him.

Siblings: Neoma, Celia and Joelle.

Relationship with them: 

• Neoma: it’s a big mess. Before the incident, they would constantly bully each other and it was not really well controlled by the parents. Sure, they intervened but they did not give them an actual punishment or disciplined them well enough. Naomie was very passive however, which gave Noma the impression that she had a pass. Naomie started fighting back though, even as far as attacking her physically. And that worsened the situation, what is this “toughening up” thing? Does Neoma really think Naomie is that soft? She is not Celia. The relationship gradually got worse, as Naomie stopped fighting back physically. She’s numb and done with this shit, she's not affected by it anymore.
• Joelle: Joelle admires Naomie and Naomie thinks she is a faker. The most interaction they have is Naomie calling out Joelle, which is drastically different from how they were before. They joked and hung out together a lot. Naomie thinks Joelle is a hypocrite, yet she does not really hate her. Maybe a little bit of disliking her, though. She thinks Joelle is a coward, but she does not go that far when confronting her. She only says subtle things, still enough to stir up Joelle...which Naomie thinks proves her right.
• Celia: Naomie really tries to support her sister, but...she thinks that this is all so unrealistic, nothing will ever go back the way it was before. Naomie thinks it is both admirable and stupid that she is still trying. She really appreciates her sister for defending her even if she doesn't think it’s enough. They consider each other as best friends and Naomie still shows her some affection. Naomie will actually miss her when she abandons them. Naomie still finds amusement in scaring Celia due to her appearance, and she thinks it’s quite ironic considering that Celia is probably the creepiest out of them.
