In a pinch, Dreyat can activate his purpleblood gift of the VOODOOS, which inspires terror in nearby trolls and is most effective against trolls below his own caste. This terror might manifest as unease, illusions, warped vision, nausea and intimidation. Dreyat doesn't like using them, but may accidentally use them when stressed or scared, causing a kind of self-perpetuating effect. PERFORMANCE DANCE, ACROBATICS, MUSIC, and SICK FLIPS are all at Dreyat's calloused fingertips! Although he typically does carnival music which only purples can appreciate... Dreyat has a unique mechanic called PERFORMAPOINTS, which are points he can rack up and add to his PERFORMATIVE CONFIDENCE by pulling off some ditties and whimsy-motives. When he has enough, he can perform a SUPER SHOWSTOPPER, which is a powerful move. |

| appearance | Dreyat is a heavy-set purpleblood and just shy of 7 feet tall. His hand is probably the size of your skull, he has teeth like a bear, and his horns add on even more to his height. Despite this, he is very soft and huggable, usually hunched over or seated to seem smaller than he is. He wears a beaten up, repeatedly mended patchwork hoodie and sweatpants, a black t-shirt and shoes for wandering. His hair is bouncy and medium-length, and his greasepaint consists of a black nose with white around the eyes and mouth! Also Dreyat NEVER takes off his red triangle necklace- it was given to him by his moirail, Pommyk. |
| personality | Dreyat is a big 'ol softie! He's humble and generous. His pumpbiscuit yearns with wanderlust, so he's always out traveling the world with the bare minimum, but his diamond leads him back to his beloved moirail every so often. He's unintentionally intimidating, but wouldn't hurt anyone, and is almost trusting to a fault. He's especially skilled at calming people down, with his mastery of Breath. Unfortunately, he also shies away from uncomfortable truths or confrontations. He loves meeting new people, but comes and goes, leading to some occasionally shallow connections. |
| backstory | Dreyat was adopted by his seasnake lusus fresh from the harrowing Caverns... As a small child, he would spend a lot of time away from hive to avoid his dad, and he developed a lot of hobbies he would focus on.
GROWING UP After meeting Pommyk on the street and playing with him, they became fast friends. Eventually best friends- and after that, neither of them really had to announce they were moirails. They both already knew. They got their matching necklaces, and Dreyat got the courage to explore Alternia. He wandered from Church to Church, getting into trouble, sending most of his allowance to Pommyk and living humbly. He picked up a few skills along the way. PRE-SGRUB After helping Zholih and Eiknuh escape a horrible "white church", Dreyat is questioning his faith, and also might be hunted right now. He meets a cheerful indigoblood his age named Zathir, who he has to admit, he really likes a lot... He helps some friends translate an ancient text, which the goldblood Odyiva cleverly recognizes as code. He's starting to feel like it's time to go back to his old hive, both to get away from the pursuing clowns and to check on his old lusus. |

Dreyat has a passion for playing the flute and other wind instruments, although he's fine on the drums too! He likes coming up with lyrics, but he's a bit self-conscious about his singing voice. Crafts Drey's a skilled craftsman- he knows how to repair clothes, do pottery and carve things out of wood. He loves making gifts for people! |

In-person, his speaking style somewhat mimics his quirk, since he tends to emphasize "S" sounds. Hopspeak For some unknown reason and from some unknown source, Dreyat is fluent in the frog-based archaic runes found in ancient temples. It's definitely useful! Dandelion Child Dreyat is in TEAM YELLOW, lead by Odyiva, which is one of the four teams playing their version of SGRUB. His teammates include Lidala, Larkie, Viodci and Zathir. It is arguably the chillest one, with the exception of Lidala, as well as the raging romance between Lark and Vio. |
