Every group of friends has their resident geek, and for Archie, he is that friend. Short and brimming with computer knowledge, he is the next brilliant mind and inventor in the making. That is, when he's not having a myriad of self-doubts and the occasional panic-attack. Archie is rather jumpy, and also equally fragile, with a shoddy immune system and a handful of allergies. But aside from being a gentle breeze away from disintegrating, Archie is relatively good company and resilient. He's well meaning, considerate, and surprisingly laid back despite how easily spooked he is. Every once in a while he can crack a decent a joke and even if he seems cowardly, when push comes to shove he can stand his ground and lend a helping hand.

As well as being the youngest of his friend group, Archie is also the one with the most sheltered and standard upbringing. Born and raised in Veloren in a large, close family unit, he grew up untroubled by anything aside from his own fragility. He attended school, his parents worked common jobs, the life of the Cactine family was simply as normal as it could be. It was towards the end of his schooling that things started to get a bit more interesting, gaining access to a variety of tools to tinker and craft devices. As fate would have it, his family were also acquainted with Maestro Creed, close enough to have him be Archie's guardian. He had begun to spend more time at the casino owner's place of residence, especially after becoming close friends with Carolyn, Zoe and Timber who lived under his roof. His shared interest in technology saw him having an easier time than most with Carolyn, and he quickly became a solid part of the group.

He had no way of anticipating that being accepted as one of their companions would lead his once normal and comfortable life to become one full of stressful and life-threatening situations. Starting with Timber's first death and revival, it quickly sank in that the existence he once knew was changed forever. Zoe's disappearance a short time later, followed by that of Carolyn's and Timber's, Archie found himself as man of the shared house they lived in, and despite being told to stay put for his own safety, he couldn't listen. His friends were possibly in danger, and he had to do something. Mustering all the courage he could, Archie followed suit, but not before doing the smart thing of informing Maestro of where he was headed first... In the form of a text message. Miraculously Archie made it to Ayrak, joining his friends in being hunted by the Bloodmoon mafia until their eventual escape.

Now he was in as deep as his friends, and it would be a test of his resistance and resolve. It was terribly stressful for all involved, and it didn't help than on top of the hunts, Archie battled his tremendous anxiety and frail health. He'd be struck with near-death experiences far too close for comfort just like his companions, but he had no choice but to brave through it. From broken wrists to freezing over, Archie survived, and through it all he would meet someone so contrasted to himself it was comical. During the brief time the party spent in Sulthin as they travelled towards Li'Venya, they would gain another member by the name of Thistle. Essentially rescued from the fight pits she was raised in, she had nowhere else to be, and stuck to the companions like glue. It was a surprise to everyone when the mountain of a woman and their small computer expert became very close, and even seemed to be as big of a geek as each other. At least now with Thistle around, it was another pair of eyes to make sure Archie didn't turn to dust when the wind changed.

Following the events in Li'Venya, Archie and Thistle coupled up, becoming each other's source of strength and normalcy. Where Archie needed protecting and self-esteem boosting, Thistle needed someone to listen and help her adjust to a life built around anything other than battle. Archie was able to form a thicker skin and some physical strength with her help, becoming more confident in his abilities. Once settled back on home soil, he's well on his way to creating breakthrough programs and computing systems. That is, when he's not being a parent, as a few years after being with Thistle, the young couple would be graced a daughter, Iris. Equally nervous as first-time parents, they stumble their way through the maze of parenting together.

• Archie is the youngest of seven children to Flora and Moss Cactine. He is also the only son.
• He requires glasses or contacts to see properly, as his eyesight is actually garbage.
• Children scare him. They can be just so savage.
• Archie was asthmatic as a child, but mostly grew out of it. But excessive activity may cause it to act up as an adult.
• Has been known to faint if spooked too badly.
