What is the difference between a Recostumed Mimikyu and a Hybrid Mimikyu?
Mimikyu is a little black ball of eldritch horror who’s appearance is so reality shattering that simply looking at it can break the minds of people. As such this horrific Pokemon must cover itself if it ever wishes to interact with other living beings around it. The pikachu appearance it sports is simply a costume, a costume that is not a physical piece of its self. It’s simply cloth it made so as not to be naked like all the other heathen Pokemon are.
So simply put. If the Mimikyu in question appears to retain the same basic shape as usual and is covered by some form of cloth so as not to break your mind it is most likely a Recostumed Mimikyu. If the body looks to be radically altered from its amorphous ball form, shows a high amount of skin, or even has flesh from another Pokemon that is not just a costume then it is probably a hybrid.
