Personality Traits

I am incredibly slow to trust.

Those who seem the fairest often have the most to hide.

I judge people by their actions, not their words.

I often get lost in my own thoughts and contemplations, becoming oblivious to my surroundings.

I place no stock in wealthy or well-mannered folk. Money and manners won't save you from a hungry owlbear.

To me, a tavern brawl is a nice way to get to know a new city.

I enjoy being strong and like breaking things.

Ideals

Aspiration. I'm going to prove that I'm worthy of a better life.

Bonds

I owe my guild a great debt for forging me into the person I am today.

I owe everything to my mentor--a horrible person who's probably rotting in jail somewhere.

Nothing is more important than the other members of my hermitage, order, or association.

Flaws

Once I start drinking, it's hard for me to stop.

I will never fully trust anyone other than myself.

People who don't take care of themselves get what they deserve.

Description

Despite being an earth genasi, Storm never really found themselves having interests considered typical to those of their element.

Particularly all through-out childhood, adolescence and young adulthood they never found themselves liking plants that much.

It’s not that they thought poorly of nature and the wildlife around them, especially considering the fact that they worked on a small farm near where they lived. They just didn’t find their parents’ fixation on preserving nature that appealing in general.

They thought it strange, and if they knew what a hippie was they’d definitely use that word to describe the people they knew.

Eventually, they decided that instead of pursuing an agricultural job, they’d do something that would actually fulfill them and not make them feel pressured and generally uneasy. To test the waters and figure out a job for themselves as far away from plants as possible, they effectively bounced and moved to a relatively large town.

After a long time of looking at various professions, they finally decided that they wanted to fight.

It was something they were good at, as demonstrated by a few brawls they’d gotten into. It was most certainly something they enjoyed, and it seemed that not a single day passed when some random stranger didn’t need a bodyguard or something.

...Not to mention this line of work didn’t usually require someone to be that good at magic.

And dear god, they were definitely not the best at magic.

After they determined they were interested in the art of combat, they chose to become a soldier and trained with various weapons. Thanks to their natural level of strength, Storm was more inclined to use heavier weapons such as axes and flails.

There was a degree of control that they could achieve through wielding battle-axes that, in their mind, just wasn't present in any other job.

Fighting gave people power. It lets them make an impact on their surroundings.

While wielding a weapon, you have the choice to end people's lives. If those choices are made by the right people then you can almost certainly guarantee, in Storm's words;

'There'll be a lot less bullshit in the world.'
