Jude is the first healer character the player receives, although his recruitment quest is not required to succeed. Jude is not proficient with weapons, having sworn to do no harm. He is equipped with a medical kit, which he can use to restore health to other units, remove debuffs and stat effects, and grant buffs.

Recruitment
Upon first entering N Losanfran, the party hears a voice calling for help. They follow it to a gas station, where they find Jude barricaded against a mob of void creatures. After defeating them all, Jude offers to join the party as a healer.
