Lillian "Floyd" Barrett's Links
"My girl... I worry about her sometimes. I know she's doing a lot better now. I'll always hate the fact that I lost so much damn time with her. That just makes me all the more grateful for what we have now. I'll prove to her time and time again that I ain't going nowhere.
And you know, it was pretty cool of Rhett and Ethan to introduce me to her."
Floyd has been through more than she lets on, and Sheldon knows it. They're overprotective of her to a fault. It clearly annoys Floyd from time to time, but it's not because they see her as incapable. They see her, and her traits, as something of a double-edged sword. Those traits make Floyd approachable, fun and exciting. But they also make her vulnerable, put in bad spots, and dangerous. Sheldon has seen all sides of humanity, and they've seen what each one is capable of. Floyd doesn't deserve more hurt than she's already been through. Some may say her overbearing nature is how they make up for the two's rocky past.
"When I first met Floyd I was starstruck. I've been a HUGE fan of Oyster Fork Lobotomy since high school!
We ended up meeting when I went to college, and she was even cooler in person. I've been introduced to so many amazing people because of her, and I'm so happy that I was able to!"
Tuesday went from a fangirl to Floyd, to one of her best friends. It's mind boggling to her even now. Floyd and her band has been a huge inspiration to her from when she was first starting out. Their collaborations always end in some of their weirdest, most experimental and fruitful work. If their friendship was great, their creative bond is a testament to it.
"What's to say about her, other than the fact that she's definitely top tier in terms of best friends to have. But also as people. She's cool people.
Listen, I could sit here for hours and talk your ear off about everything she's done, and how amazing she is, but I think it's best for you to just meet her and see for yourself. Now that's deserving of at LEAST 50 upvotes."
Floyd is someone Rhett loves more than words can describe. She's one of his closest friends, and there's good reason for that. He doesn't click with people often, but she certainly made it easy. Between her personality and her music he admires her in more ways than one.
"We don't really have the same interests, but she's said she wouldn't mind going investigating with me sometimes. Says she wants to be like those ghost hunter guys she sees on TV. ... If only she knew what there really was out there."
Although there's slight tension between them (one-sided, keep in mind) on account of Floyd befriending people like Tuesday and Wylie, Molly thinks Floyd is a cool person. She just likes to keep a certain distance from her. She wouldn't admit it, but it hurts a little too much to see someone so effortlessly socialize with people she seems so out of touch with.
"What to say about Floyd? She's my best friend. I can confide in her with anything, and she introduced me to the love of my life. So I have to thank her for that!
She's stubborn, loyal, and isn't afraid to say what's on her mind. Honestly, I look up to her in a lot of ways.
And it's REALLY fun to pull pranks on Rhett with her."
Ethan sees a true friend in Floyd that he hasn't seen in someone since Rhett. She fits into their group like she's always belonged. She's fun, flirty, and possesses a confidence that Ethan hopes to obtain for himself someday. Her laugh and smile is practically contagious.
"...She just gets me in a way I have difficulty describing. It's surprisingly nice to know you can have someone to come back to. Maybe someday I can be that for her."
"Floyd is a bright girl. Promising. Clever. ... Cute, in an irritating way."
[Sanctae] Primrose was tending to her garden when she noticed a few fruits were being plucked. And that there were suspicious bite marks in a few of them. The cheeky bastard. Once she found the source, she ended up in a strangely sweet situation-ship with a goblin named Floyd.
[Fashion AU] Primrose reluctantly took Floyd under her wing per request of Jacqueline, who she most definitely owed a favor to. Although she was unsure of what this would mean for her company, she found that this decision proved to be beneficial in more ways than one...
