Faerrie is a fox with Fae ancestry. While Fae rarely travel to this dimension, it does happen on rare occasion that a half-fae child is both conceived and brought up here, making Faerrie an oddity. This also made faer much more naturally adept to magic, which fae learned to use offensively at a young age.
Faerrie has grown up to be a bounty hunter, and is very skilled at faer job. Faes wings help fae out-speed in a chase down, and faer magic helps faer battle and detain. When the situation gets really bad, fae can use faer magic through faer guns so that the bullets never miss, incapacitating but not killing.
However Faerrie finds faerself on a peculiar case: The Mob Boss Strife, who is connected to a string of crimes, large number of disappearances, and a murderous wake behind him. With a huge bounty on his head, Faerrie attempts his capture a number of times, barely making it out alive. Strife's genetic modifications allow him to disrupt both faer flying and faer magic. Faerrie vows to take him down.
Faerrie ends up befriending Saffire and Mal-saf, suspecting they're close with Strife and trying to learn more about him. When Faerrie learns more about what happened in their past, fae feels horrible about befriending them under false pretenses, and comes clean, promising to give up on hunting strife. They laugh, they knew who fae was the whole time, Strife has great fun sparring with faer and talks about faer all the time. They openly give fae advice to beat him, as if it was a game.
Faerrie maintains a friendship with the Safs, and meets Strife on a personal level. They really hit it off, and agree to keep battling it out, Faerrie still vowing to take him in and both of them saying no promises not to kill each other on sight. However, sometimes they meet up and aren't into the fight, so they just end up hanging out and even sometimes hooking up.
