Profile

  • Nero's Dad's Wife's Son, no blood relation
  • Dated Nero briefly before their parents got married
  • Nero never got oven it so they had a messed up and toxic (no longer romantic) relationship while living together
  • Moved out to college and majorly improved as a person while dating Lainia

Ran is the heir to Orlandi Diamond Distributions, and was raised to be an upstanding young man who would take over the company. His closest friend was the child of a jewelry company that his parents were doing business with, Nero. Nero was a rowdy and free child who never let anyone speak down to him, and the withdrawn Ran admired him for it. Eventually Nero and ran would date, but when their parents intended to remarry each other, Rans dad told him he has to end his romantic relationship with Nero before the wedding, causing Ran to shut down emotionally. Nero becomes pushy and obsessive about making it work, which only makes things harder for Ran. When Nero begins to proposition Ran to take the relationship further before the wedding, Ran panics, throws Nero off, and slams him into the wall to run out, and the two break off their relationship. Ran greatly regrets hurting Nero in this moment of panic and emotional overboiling, but Nero refuses to talk to him and eventually moves out of the family home.
Ran goes off the college and meets Lainia in his classes. He notices how she's anxious and meek around most people and makes an effort to befriend her, as she reminds him of how he was when he was young, and how he needed Nero to help him come out of his shell. They really hit it off, and decide to room together the next year, and begin dating.
When Rans stepmother, Nero's mother, passes away, Ran returns home with Lainia for the funeral. He wanted to see Nero and talk with them about how, while things didn't work out with them, he was happy to have Nero's influence in his life to get to the point he was at now, and hoped they could make up and move on as brothers. Nero, however, was extremely emotionally fragile over the sudden death of his mother who he had not spoken to since he moved out, and when they saw Ran and Lainia together, Nero freaked out and made a huge scene, and their friend ended up having to take them home early. Ran isn't able to get closure with Nero, and has to learn to rely on Lainia instead of her only relying on him.
