Appearance

15331660_4YsgsL9ng6R7UWk.png

A taller-than-average mix of a Starfilius Faeles and Vespen. Her short fur is a dark. desaturated blue and covers all of her body, interrupted only by a few golden cuffs on her legs and arms. The webbing in between her arms is the same colour as her nose and the short tufts of hair between her two, long, inward facing ears. She is unusually lithe for someone of her standing. A long, pale yellow scar stretches between the top of her left eyelid all the way to her right cheek.

Design Notes:
  • The scar on her face is only present from Act 2 onward. She gets this scar after cutting her own face to fuel the sword she uses to kill The Toymaster.
  • Her hair can be drawn as a tuft, or as actual hair. Her hair length fluctuates over the length of her story so there's no real 'incorrect' way to draw it.
Personality

When she had a place as the Voidstringer's assistant, Nefertiti was unbelievably vain. Why wouldn't she be? She had the whole of the Void District at her beck and call, the statue the whole district lay on carved in her image. She cared only for herself and her splendour.

However, after her capture by The Toymaster and eventual release, she secluded herself, humbled by her experience. No longer caring for the finer things in life, she gave thanks to Andromeda by risking her life for her, and in the end grew to love her.

She assumes the best of people, not being one to have biases or unfaur assumptions. As Grand Queen, Nefertiti is not very open with her people, making few appearances, preferring to keep her life private and away from the prying eyes of StarCentral.

LIQUID LIGHT

Nefertiti is a spring of liquid light, containing more in her veins than anyone else in StarCentral. If she is cut, she can bleed, possibly, an infinite amount. This is used in the fight against The Toymaster.

Starmaker's Wrath

After being named Grand Queen, The Starmaker's essence contained in The Champion's Sword is transferred into Nefertiti, giving her the same powers as her, to a lesser degree. This means that Nefertiti has all forms of magic The Starmaker did - Creation, Manipulation and Destruction. However, Nefertiti is not very practiced in this magic and is still a novice.

ACt 0

Created as one of the first beings, to be the secretary of the Voidstringer, Nefertiti instantly found that her boss seemed to be infatuated with her. She was showered in gifts, and the block of obsidian the Void District was made from was carved into a statue resembling her. She lived a lavish life, but grew more and more uncomfortable with the Voidstringer's infatuation. She rejected him and their relationship grew awkward and hostile.

After the first emergence of the Shadow Place, she was replaced as secretary.

ACt 1

As The Toymaster's control over The Shadow Place emerged, Nefertiti heard voices calling her. Following these voices, she met The Toymaster, who manipulated her, telling her she had been wronged by the Voidstringer, and that he could give her anything, slowly turning her into a Shadow Monster, but never taking a true form, as she never fully submitted.

He had her around his finger, and one day, sent her to attack Andromeda Nelighla. Upon seeing someone else for the first time in forever, Nefertiti begged Andromeda to spare her, and Andromeda did so, taking her hand and running back to her cottage.

Andromeda introduced herself - she was the Royal Warrior, created to purge the Shadow Place of the Shadow Monsters plaguing it. The Toymaster had been the previous Royal Warrior, but felt abandoned after his job was done and revolted, banished to the Shadow Place forever, where he made a deal with a rogue Shadow Monster that gave him unthinkable power. Nefertiti felt useless, letting Andromeda leave each day to fight monsters, and asked to fight alongside her. Andromeda trusted her with her sword, using her other powers to fight instead. They fought against the Toymaster's Shadow Monsters, but never got close to the Toymaster.

The longer they fought, the closer they grew. They soon found themselves in love, but too nervous to admit their feelings. They started traveling outside of the Shadow Place, into the Dream District together, going out to eat and enjoy eachother's company. The Starmaker caught wind of this and decided this was unacceptable. Andromeda's position as Royal Warrior was removed and she was forbidden to enter the Shadow Place again, until The Starmaker's mistress The White Lady was able to put some sense into them. Andromeda informed the Starmaker of the Toymaster, and the Starmaker insisted it wasn't a big deal. The Starmaker sent out troops into the Shadow Place to arrest him, but they disappeared.

A few nights after, the Starmaker decided to send out another round of troops, and Andromeda and Nefertiti decided to sneak out with them. They were there in time to see Shadow Monsters and the Toymaster himself barrelling over the land, towards the Starmaker's palace. They ran back to alert the Starmaker, and she called the other Deities of StarCentral to the palace in an emergency meeting. As they all gathered, the Toymaster came into the palace. In the midst of a speech from The Starmaker, she was struck down and shattered into a multitude of fragments of light.

Nefertiti, bearing The Champion's Sword, with the ability to collect and channel light, gathered the Starmaker's Light into the sword. Nefertiti could bleed 'liquid light' and sliced herself, giving the sword enough power to defeat the Toymaster. He was scattered across space, not being seen until after the explosion of StarCentral trillions of years later, at the year 1999 on Earth.

Act 2

Because they had aided in the defeat of the Toymaster, Nefertiti and Andromeda was given a place in the Dreamweaver's palace. Now that the Starmaker was gone, the question of who would take their place arose. The Dieties came together and decided that the people of the Light District would vote between the remaining rulers.

Soon after, the Earthbringer was found barely alive in his quarters. The blame was immediately pinned on the Voidstringer. Because of the Dreamweaver’s association with the Voidstringer, the people of the Light District were hesitant to ddecide. ndromeda and Nefertiti took up the responsibility of investigating the assault on the Earthbringer.

The White Lady was outraged they had not taken the place of the Starmaker, as they were the Starmaker's "second-in-command" and on true love. She had concocted a plan to either kill or stain the reputation of the deities so they would be forced to consider someone else as ruler of the Light District. With the secretary of the Dreamweaver, Benji, they had attacked the Earthbringer and would have done so to the Dreamweaver too, and eventually the Voidstringer.

This information, eventually recovered by Nefertiti, was brought to the public, and The White Lady and Benji were sent to the bottom of Starcentral, the foundations, by the Voidstringer.

The Dreamweaver, soon after, came out with the news he and the Voidstringer would be "creating" a child together. While happy for them, it would take a lot of time and energy to take care of them, and thus the two deities able to rule were no longer. They decided that Nefertiti, who saved StarCentral from the Toymaster, and who had discovered the Earthbringer's attacker, would step up as the leader of the Light District, as she was well loved by those all over StarCentral after helping them so much.

Throughout the ordeal, Andromeda and Nefertiti's feelings towards each other had been growing, at some points advancing towards casual flirting, to the point where the Dreamweaver was asking Andromeda if they were a couple. Just before the coronation of Nefertiti, Andromeda was approached by the Dreamweaver, asking if she would like to replace Benji as their secretary. Andromeda was moved to accept before Nefertiti approached and claimed that she as a ruler would need a royal consort. Andromeda, overjoyed, agreed.

Act 3

Grand Queen Nefertiti and Queen-Consort Andromeda ruled in relative peace for millions of years. As the years went on, they saw the Dreamweaver and Voidstringer create their own child, and wanted to do the same. Andromeda soon after began carrying their child - who would come to be named Poff, who they loved as much as they could as Princess of StarCentral.

As the years went by, they noticed the Dreamweaver slowly weakening, becoming sick. He would normally be immune to such ailments, however he told them he had no idea why this was happening.

However, The Dreamweaver knew exactly why. He had noticed, in his midnight walks in the foundations of StarCentral, that without the power of The Starmaker they were falling apart. He had been secretly feeding energy into the foundations, fearing the hysteria that could of been caused if the news got out, and the questioning he'd receive after people learned he had been traversing the foundations.

Soon, he became so sick he was bedridden, and eventually the foundations of StarCentral began declining quickly. Nefertiti and Andromeda tried their best to do anything they could to save StarCentral - tried channeling the power of the sword into the foundations, putting their own magic in, anything to save their kingdom, the home of so many. But it was all in vain.

In a visit to the foundations, they found a Shadow Monster who was heavily pregnant. She gave birth to a child she name Oathbreaker in front of Nefertiti and Andromeda, then died. Nefertiti and Andromeda adopted this child, naming him Oliver. He was half Star creature, half Shadow Monster, and unbeknownst to them the child of The Toymaster. Unfortunately, this became like a blight upon the child, swallowing him whole and eventually killing him before he became a teenager.

Using the last of their magic to protect their child, Nefertiti and Andromeda shared a final kiss before the foundations crumbled and the whole of StarCentral exploded. Nefertiti and Andromeda had become gods to the level The Starmaker had been- they couldn't die. Everything except their bodies were obliterated in the explosion, and they floated through space, mindless bodies entwined, until they landed on the dead planet of Hesio. The rest of their magic was chanelled into Hesio, granting it life, and eventually, home to their descendants. Their bodies remained on Hesio for years, until the year 1952, where the statue was destroyed by Theodore Tinneth and their souls were freed to the Seafoam Cities, the afterlife where they met their descendents, and eventually, their own daughter.
