Berak Aeducan

Berak is the middle child of the royal Aeducan line. Blunt, but cunning in his own regard, he was widely considered to be the chosen heir. However, he was betrayed by his brother and framed for fratricide. Sent out into the Deep Roads, he survives with help from a Casteless dwarf- Teryn Brosca.

After reaching the surface, they join the Grey Wardens to defeat the Blight. Berak initially wants to use their influence to enact vengeance on Bhelen, but he eventually is persuaded to move past the betrayal for the good of Orzammar.

After defeating the Blight, Berak becomes a key figure in the dwarven army, devoting his life to fighting the darkspawn that threaten his home. With Grey Warden support, he pushes the horde as far back as the Dead Trenches.
