Dislikes: Quinn's sensitivity, indecisiveness, and just generally "wimpy and embarrassing" nature, being told what to do, being harassed for being Irish, aristocrats, English people, tall people, basically any human being that exists, animals, pretty much everything under the sun. If it exists, he'll find a reason to be angry about it.

Personality:
Connor is what you would call a piece of work on his best days. He is remarkably hot-headed, and his resting state is pissed off. He's irritable, snappy, and harsh with everyone he meets and is just a generally unpleasant person to be around. Connor is always the first to raise his voice (or his fists) during a spat, and he has a lot of power and strength packed into his small stature. His physical strength is his best attribute, as (obviously) he's not a charming or kind fella on his intelligence is very slightly below average at best.
Connor is decisive and assertive, and bossing others around is what his specialty is. Quinn is especially prone to facing this wraith, as Connor is constantly yelling at the lad and bullying him for seemingly nothing more than breathing. Despite all that, Quinn really does love his brother and still treats him like he's a perfect person. Connor gets VERY upset when people don't take him seriously or listen to him. He basically throws a man tantrum if he's not the boss of things. He's not used to people opposing him because of his brute strength, so people like Louis putting him in his place greatly upsets him.
Despite how much of an ass the lad is, Connor is very determined and hard working (even though that may mostly be because he's stubborn), and people doubting him makes him work even harder to prove them wrong. Connor is driven by spite, and that can sometimes lead him to be very protective and loyal. He loves doing the exact opposite of what people want him to.
Backstory:
Connor was raised in Donegal with his 11 siblings. He was always a strong, good worker and was usually at the forefront of helping with the physical labor. Connor never was a man to dream and never thought of what he wanted to be or do, so he was just plodding along aimlessly and just doing whatever work was thrown in front of him. However, when he found out his littlest brother Quinn had saved up enough to board the ferry to America, he decided that he'd come along. Quinn, of course, didn't have the guts to tell him no and that he barely even had money for himself (and Connor had nothing), so Connor is just an inconvenience mooching on his brother's hard work. The two Byrne Bros find themselves in America, and after a couple of misadventures, they settle down in Pennsylvania and start working on the railroad.
