KROW

27 . they/them . ace

Co-leader of The Fallen Light, having created the group after defecting from the Star Runners - and the Grand Planets - with Alistair.

Logical and straightforward, they're usually the brains of the operation, and most ideas get vetted through them before being executed. Despite their formal and rational mindset, Krow is also very cynical in nature; their pessimism is usually countered by Alistair's positivity (though Laur's positivity often makes Krow even more negative).

"My future is not pre-destined"

Charisma
Confidence
Intelligence
Empathy
Maturity
  • Likes: stealth, guns, friends
  • Dislikes: being touched, failure, small spaces
  • Other: stutters, though no one is sure if it's a programming error or something else. Krow can talk, but their helmet also acts as a screen that displays an emoticon reflecting their mood. Krow has cloaking technology that maps their body to match their surroundings.
  • Weapon of choice: Silenced Pistol

Event One

The year is 2582, and Bernhard Xenos, captaining the USS Bishop (a United States Spaceship), landed and began colonization on the planet Xenos. Over the next couple hundred years, Xenos grew into a large and populated planet, inspiring humanity to explore even further corners of the galaxy. Throughout many centuries, humanity began to discover new planets, new solar systems, and, most importantly, new species of varying levels of technology. Eventually, 4 central empires developed as people became less focused on individual planets and more focused on entire systems; The Grand Planets (GP), the Galaxy's System of Alliance (GSoA), the Imperial Territories (IT), and the Cosmic Nation (CN).

Each empire started off peacefully, but the peace did not last long. The GP declared war on the IT 3021; it began over a conflict of the planet Monument Prime, which was one of the largest habitable planets known to date. Monument Prime existed in Free Space (the wavering border between the four empires) - specifically, between the IT and the GP. For a long time, Monument Prime existed as a shared factionless planet. The GP started sending more and more soldiers, until tensions grew and a fight broke out. This fight turned into the War of Monument Prime; it started first as a warfield just on the land of Monument Prime, but soon grew until entire nearing planets became targets as well. Both empires refused to yield, and, to many, it seemed as though the war would continue until one empire lost all of their planets.

Event Two

The year is 3067, and Krow is built alongside countless other Strategic Prime Units. These robots are shipped across the galaxy in order to fill spots in various different ship fleets. Krow spent a few years getting bounced between many different ships before being sent back to where they were manufactured due to their developed stutter - each crew they were on was afraid something was wrong with their programming. However, after a long period time of being looked over and tinkered with, nothing wrong could be found, so Krow was sent back out. When they proved themselves in a successful mission, they were transferred into the new Star Runners, a smaller sector of the Grand Planets Galaxial Army (GPGA). The Star Runners were 52 ships split into 4 fleets (Spades, Hearts, Diamonds, and Clubs), all of which were meant for stealthed attacks and reconnaissance missions. Krow was assigned deputy of the Spades, and piloted the King of Spades.Together, Alistair and Krow led their crew in countless missions.

Event Three

The year is 3094, and Alistair, somewhat fearfully, approaches Krow with a plan. Alistair tells Krow he plans to defect from the GPGA, having grown very angry over their empire's morality and viewpoint towards the war. After their 7 years of bonding, Krow doesn't hesitate to join him, eager to be a part of something other than mindless fighting. The two take Alistair's ship, the Ace of Spades, where they destroy the coms system and flee to Station X, a factionless station located in Free Space where the borders of the four empires meet. They hide here in secret for a few months, before decided to start up a factionless rebel group called The Fallen Light. They create The Fallen Light as a way to work towards protecting the people and ending the war, and as word of their cause starts to seep through Station X, a few members - including Laur - come to them asking to join.

Alistair Royal
Co-leader

Met Krow while they both flew in the Spades crew of the Star Runners. Came up with the idea of defecting and co-created The Fallen Light.

Laur
Crewmate

Grew up on Station X, and sought up Alistair and Krow after hearing about the creation of The Fallen Light.

Rowry
Crewmate

Krow is the only person slightly skeptical of Rowry (though they are, admittedly, skeptical of most things). Ever since Laur told the group that they were pretty sure Rowry was from Orbun, Krow has kept watchful eyes on it. However, even Krow will admit to Rowry's cuteness.

Wycket Wyl
Crewmate

Saved by The Fallen Light when her planet Krycket was under siege by the GP. The IT ignored the lost planet, and The Fallen Light were the only ones to help the survivors. With nowhere the go and an anger towards the war, Wycket decided to join The Fallen Light rather than go with fellow survivors back to Station X.

Prince Sybil
Antagonist/Crewmate

Son of King Kairos, the main antagonist to the Fallen Light. Unquestioningly followed his lead up until Kairos left him out of an elaborate play to let Xerxe get captured by the enemy, subsequently killing many of their people. Feeling betrayed, as Kairos showed no care as to whether or not Sybil lived or died in that attack, Sybil defected from his empire and joined the Fallen Light
