Opal

A Cowgirl who was born in Laisvė from one of the families that originally established the town. She loves her home and will always do anything for it but she also loves traveling and is always ready to find a reason to go on the road. Has engineering skill focusing on fixing guns and other outdoors equipment. But grows interested in learning more from Brio.

At a young age before being adopted by Verge met Antioch traveling and something happened where they felt it necessary to bestow a blessing to Opal probably sensing that her parents were dead and seeing the mourning within her. Whatever the reason Opal didn't know it was a blessing and just kept it as a keepsake at all times until it saved her life. She hopes to one day see Antioch and both thank them and help him.

After the story and with a lot of help from Brio Opal had caught on very well to technology and in learning where Antioch was after news of seeing him became more common she saught him out and got to thank him and tell him how much that he meant to her growing up. In which Antioch asks her to be an assistant to him which she happily accepts though she asks if she can work on the road as well because she still wants to travel with everyone. Which he is fine with making sure she both has means of teleportation and direct access for like video calls lol. And it works out as Pasualius is an untapped gold mine of tech and parts and Opal can help out with studying, procuring, repairing and helping create new things. Though she credits her team for helping her as without Brio's mastery of technology, Gutter's notes on the ruins, Chance's photography of important places, Clay's knowhow to find information, Duster's willingness to take insane jobs that go to insane places and y'know Rusty was moral support here. She wouldn't be nearly as good as she is right now. To which Antioch probably says "Well any assistant of mean deserves a top of the line r&d team and I'm glad you already have one that works so well" Opal also, secretly, considered Antioch a 2nd father, though growing up that was a very hopeful parasocial imagination of a young child, Antioch had lived up to what she thought in her head. Either way she's happy and hopefully Antioch is happy as he now has another person added to his growing list of friends and family he had been unable to see for so long.

Good friends with Duster and Chance. She met them before even being adopted by Verge but the three always helped each other out through thick and thin. Opal was adopted by Verge sometime in her early teens.
