{short bio}
Before the fall, Leah was raised an only child by her single mom: a Russian Blue hybrid complimented often for her beauty.  Though she’d never known of a father - other than he had been someone ‘worth forgetting’ - her mother worked as a maid under a town councilmember - the honorary Ronaldo Agaricus - who strongly believed for equal pay amongst hybrids, marking the beginning of her years as one of safety and shelter.

Unfortunately for Leah, Ronaldo Agaricus had several running ins with the local mafia, getting them to take out some unsavoury targets while refusing them pay.  For years, he had been playing a long game of cat and mouse with its members, but all of that finally ended when the mafia poisoned the watering system, slowly killing all the inhabitants inside.  Leah had escaped this fate by sheer, dumb luck, having gone out on an errand for her mother, and came back to see everyone she knew drop like flies, after a hushed rasp to not drink the water.

When the mafia came by to pick up the goods that were so rightfully theirs, they found Leah there, curled up next to her mother’s body.  Out of sheer pity, they took her in as one of their own. After all, she was a pair of extra hands.

Having no place to go and in little position to deny the offer given to her, Leah was thrown into security training by Victor and Vanessa at the sheer age of eight, which was where she met Onyx: another cat hybrid the same age, thrown into the mafia life for equally peculiar reasons.  Being assigned together as partners for occasional missions and security, they mainly worked at a store that was a front for a drug den and operated as lookouts, warning the members inside. However, they were also armed and presumably able to take down threats.

It was here the first hint of Leah’s potential as a Dahlia surfaced, when an aggressive customer entered, demanding to see the cartel, and held Onyx at knifepoint.  Adrenaline pumping through Leah’s veins alongside panic, she landed a devastating shot to the man’s arm, enough to scare him off and give Onyx a chance to escape. From then on she’d remember that moment as a traumatizing memory, terrified that she had hurt someone that badly.

When the mafia finally got caught, Onyx and Leah were both captured and carted off to community service for a high-class restaurant.  Here, Leah worked as a waitress because of the ‘alluring looks’ she had inherited from her mother, and Onyx worked as a dishwasher. Things were better now - or so she had thought, before she waited on two customers who were the very same ones who shut down the mafia in the first place and had trained them, all those year ago.  They bought them - for a reason Leah didn’t quite understand - and the rest was history.

Now placed in Dahlia, the last place Leah would ever want to be, her nightmares have started once more.

He was there.  He was always there, there to talk to, there to be with her, there to remember.  Even when everything starts falling apart, he's there, and what can Leah do but keep the fire going?  It's not that she fell in love with Onyx.  It's that he's all she's ever known, and that's enough.blurb de blurb blurb.  blurb blurb blurb blurb blurb.  blurb blurb blurb blurb? blurb de blurb blurb.  blurb blurb blurb blurb blurb.  blurb blurb blurb blurb? blurb de blurb blurb.  blurb blurb blurb blurb blurb.  blurb blurb blurb blurb?blurb de blurb blurb.  blurb blurb blurb blurb blurb.  blurb blurb blurb blurb? blurb de blurb blurb.  blurb blurb blurb blurb blurb.  blurb blurb blurb blurb? blurb de blurb blurb.  blurb blurb blurb blurb blurb.  blurb blurb blurb blurb?The energetic Dahlia keeps pestering him, and he can't stop wondering why.  How long will it be until someone teaches him how to force people to leave him alone, again?...

{trivia}

Fun Fact #1:  Her father was a Bengal hybrid, and she seems to be inheriting his abnormal height.  Leah is already beginning to grow taller than Onyx, and when she grows up completely one can suspect she’ll be an unusually tall and sturdy individual (much to Onyx’s utter disappointment).
Fun Fact #2: She has a dusty leather-bound notebook and a couple of pens she uses to write in.  The stationery appears to have been her mother’s, though she rarely speaks about it.
Fun Fact #3: She loves fantasy and sci-fi novels and getting lost in fictional worlds.
Fun Fact #4: Leah seems to have a particular fascination for colourful mushrooms.

- Likes/Dislikes:

Likes:
Reading + writing.  A writer at heart, Leah loves to escape to the magical worlds fiction provides and hopes to write her own one day.
Travelling.  Leah has always been one to run from her problems by seeking new heights, and travelling fulfills that thrill.
Food. Her favourite thing about working at the restaurant was seeing all the delicious food.  She’d love to learn how to cook or bake one day.
Colourful stationery. Seeing everything colourful and organized keeps her content.
Truffles. They’re a rare, delicious delicacy which she enjoys.
Warm things.  Hugs, fuzzy blankets, warm fireplaces, etc.
Onyx. He’s all she has, even though he scares her sometimes.

Dislikes:
Fighting. Leah is a pacifist at heart; even sheer conflict frightens her.
Water.  She can swim just fine, she just doesn’t like getting wet too much.  She also has a general aversion to it due to its presence in her past.
Failure. Leah starts to panic if she does something wrong that doesn’t match her unusually high standards, even if it isn’t that substantial.
Staying inside for too long.  After a while, it makes her feel trapped and dampens her mood.
Aggressive/Judgemental/Unempathetic individuals. They frighten her.

- Ability:
Nightvision - Leah has enhanced vision, and can see her surroundings clearly in the dark.
