Muse

Muse was adopted as an egg by a werewolf matriarch named Tera, who had just given birth to her daughter Data at the time. her husband Michael's business did not leave him much time at home, and Tera's increasing obsession with Creators meant that her interest in family was greatly decreasing. As such, Muse was initially acquired as a sort of guardian for Data, being raised alongside her as not only a sibling, but also a susbstitute caretaker. Muse took his role to heart, especially after Michael died and Tera became more withdrawn, sticking to Data's side and helping her through life where her parents could (or would) not. Tera often treated Muse better than she did her own two children, something that still bothers him to this day.

Nowadays, Muse has a much less familial relationship with Data, being mostly relegated to following her around and assisting with her work and research for the Institute. He still cares about her, but doesn't get nearly as much casual family time with her as he used to. As he's grown, he's also become more involved in Institute work, using his shapeshifting abilities to retrieve information that would otherwise be quite difficult to obtain, and keeping people in line and off Tera's tail. Muse has grown accustomed to his position in the family and the pack as a bit of a workhorse, but doesn't let anyone push him around (aside from Data and her mother).
