Paisley's Comments

Paisley is such a charming character! I was enchanted reading his bio: you have a very fairy tale sort of story here; without knowing the ending, his story reminds me of something like an Oscar Wilde or Hans Christian Andersen tale.

Even if he is such a fantastic creature, I feel like we can relate to him, lost in the world and trying to find his way. I especially like the details about him playing the viola and learning from a cassette on his Walkman-- his love for music humanizes the character, and the anecdote reminds me of being a kid and valuing my most precious tapes with my life: that even if he is a Starman (sorry), he can feel the magic in a little plastic rectangle just like any of us can.

I don't really have any critique except that I'd love to know more about some of the aspects that are unexplained-- why is he a mercenary-in-training? What kind of mercenary, given that he's a star (whom is he after)? How was he forced to fall from the sky, and by whom? Who is using fallen stars for power? And so on-- but those are just things to things to think about more; I don't see any actual problems with his profile. I'd love to see more from this guy and his fellow stars in the future. c:

You said not to just comment on the design, but it's a little confusing so I'll just say it briefly. If he's a start turned human why does he have cat ears? And wouldn't it make more sense if he cries fire or something rather than miniature stars?

Anyways the other stuff. I think the concept is very unique and you've managed to make me interested in a story or something with this concept. However you didn't really explain much about the character himself in the bio. You explained his "species" and how he works and all that and you also gave him two relationships, but you never really explain his personality. From his art it looks like he's a very shy characters, but i don't think you actually wrote in anywhere. I also see that he's a mercenary in training so if he is shy that could be a pretty interesting dynamic.

I see this is still a WIP so hopefully you add all that before it's complete. Good luck and hope you decided to do something with this characters :)
