Ambrosia is a mystifying young man who waltzes the world in riddles and fun little puzzles. He is a notorious liar- to the point of confusion. It is difficult to determine what, if any, of his self-reported life prior to the one he lives now is fact. His unhealthy obsession with lying only further hides him and others from the truth. It's a negative coping mechanism of his to break, something he carried since childhood. He lies about many things ranging from important to small pointless things that don't really matter. By all means, it's just best to take what he says for a grain of salt. Reality and the truth are things he can't accept thus he suppresses these truths into a box and turns it into a lie which often gets out of hand, and he begins lying about anything. As mentioned prior, it's a negative coping mechanism for him and it's difficult for Ambrosia to detach from it. He hates it, he really does. It puts a burden on him, and he feels guilty each time he lies. He doesn't lie so much to his husband, Vincent. He's very keen on it too, but sometimes a few fibs slip out of him without him realizing it. He's quick to correct his mistakes, however.
When he is not falling prey to his own lies, he is often mending to his enchanted garden of magical plants and herbs. He's very protective of his garden and gives them the best of care as he can. He specifically moves off to the side singular set of pots made for growing/creating withered roses. These deceased flowers are fond of by his spouse; the man finding the dead plants to be beautiful.
While Ambrosia does show his face in the morning, after dark is his targeted time to be out. That, or in the late evenings when he is at work. He is very cultivated and well behaved, and is naturally very kind as a person. Ambrosia rarely ever lashes out; not to be the violent type. He commonly keeps his emotions in check, uncomfortable with the idea of ever making someone upset. Ambrosia's soft aura is truly what brings people to like him. He's generous to others and genuinely cares for those around him. It's not rare to see him play the fair game either.
He uses his own comfort to give to other individuals who are upset or hurting. These qualities make him to be a good person to lean or depend on when it comes to the heavier stuff. Ambrosia is a sweet person who is no harm to anyone of any kind. He doesn't bring bad intentions if anything he's a good omen and a positive energy to absorb. He is also very helpful to go to for herbs and the like.
Very patient and quiet about most things, Ambrosia isn't the type of person to get mad over petty little things or to bring out his temper in general. Despite it, he has been shown to become easily jealous when it comes to people talking or flirting with his lover, Vincent. He becomes a little more passive-aggressive during these moments, quite comical really. He'll be more vocal and clumsily say dumb things that not only rat out his jealously but make him look like a giant goofball to the individual in question. Of course, he's quick to bring himself back together and not put too much focus on this toxic emotion.
Ambrosia is obsessively loyal with friends and those he considers family. He can keep a secret shut, sealed, and tucked away. With him being a pathological liar, it makes keeping these secrets safe and hidden.
While he does enjoy his private time or time alone with his husband, he enjoys conversating with friends close and far to him. He beholds many friends including spirits and mythological beings born from the realms he has access to. The main realms he acquires is the spirit, dream, and mythological.
Ambrosia's existence from birth was concealed and held in secrecy away from public knowledge. Throughout his early years, he endured seclusion within the confines of his room, completely isolated from societal interactions. His access beyond this was limited solely to addressing essential hygienic needs. Ambrosia received subpar education, never having the opportunity to attend school, rendering him illiterate and not exhibiting proficiency in verbal communication. Ambrosia was deemed futile by his grandparents, who falsely asserted that his birth was a mistake. The reason behind their negative stance stemmed from the financial class disparities between his parents, Bemus and Phoebe. Bemus, hailing from a wealthy background and Phoebe, from a less privileged one, were forbidden to marry.
Their concealed relationship became public when Phoebe fell pregnant, leading to a swift revelation to Bemus's parents. This revelation shattered familial traditions and provoked intense anger within the family. Rejecting the notion of Bemus and Phoebe raising the child, Ambrosia was effectively erased from the family system. This punitive action was a consequence of Bemus and Phoebe being compelled to relinquish their child and terminate their relationship. The fate of the estranged couple remained unknown.
Ambrosia was originally going to be placed to death the moment he was born but the family had a plan in mind that was surely worse than death itself. He was placed under the care of his resentful grandparents, who harbored a profound animosity towards him. Forced into a small, windowless room, furnished only with a bed, a bookshelf, and a desk with minimal toys, Ambrosia navigated an unhealthy environment. Ambrosia endured prevalent abuse during this period—both physical and verbal. The extent of the maltreatment escalated to severe injuries, including busted lips and swollen eyes. While Ambrosia's grandparents refrained from directly inflicting harm, they condoned and allowed other family members to subject him to such brutality. (wip)
Ambrosia is absolutely in love with Vincent, carrying these feelings ever they were children. He loves Vincent to the very end and enjoys the loving treatment he receives from his dear husband. He is spoiled rotten by Vincent and has grown to love the pampering lifestyle he is given. Ambrosia is involved with Vincent in both lust and romance, mostly romance. He is also fairly obsessed with the man, constantly thinking about him daily and wanting to be with him 24/7. He adores getting attention from Vincent and is always being held, kissed, and hugged.
Ambrosia does have a bit of a jealously problem that he is working on. He will get jealous if he sees someone else flirting or talking to Vincent. He isn't very vocal about it and keeps this all to himself. Fortunately, Vincent is keen on Ambrosia's jealously and always reassures him that his princess is the only one for him.
Besides the romantic aspects of their relationship, they are both very much sexually intimate with one another. With Ambrosia being hypersexual, the two never seem to leave the bedroom. Ambrosia isn't pushy when it comes to sex and if Vincent is too busy to have fun then he won't convenience him to do anything.
Both Vincent and Ambrosia never argue (though they used to argue a lot when they were kids.) When they do, which is rare, it's always about Ambrosia's insecurities; Vincent telling Ambrosia that he's perfect as is. The relationship is healthy and strong, Ambrosia feels comfortable around Vincent. He's also very grateful for the care Vincent has given him in the past. The two are honest and loyal to each other, however, Ambrosia used to have self-harming habits and kept it a secret from Vincent. But the man found out and was quick to give Ambrosia the help he needed.
Scarlet is Ambrosia's dearest friend and confidante. They've stuck close as small children, and practically have been glued to the hip ever since. Nothing is really kept secret between them, outside of Ambrosia's poor lying habits - To which Scarlet's telepathy makes that very difficult to do. He's always being teased by Scarlet about it, but nothing harmful ever comes from it. Scarlet is very important to Ambrosia, there isn't a single day he doesn't keep in touch with the pink vampire. And if there's a day he doesn't hear back from him, he's grabbing his broom and flying over to his place. He'd be lost if anything happened to his dear friend.
Sexual jokes, gestures, and comments aren't infrequent in their friendship. Scarlet's promiscuity generally makes Ambrosia chuckle and roll his eyes, although he may even be persuaded to make inappropriate jokes of his own. Despite his husband's hatred towards Scarlet, he does try his best to get them to get along. They've been at each other's throats since childhood and Ambrosia hopes to end their little banters at some point.
Marionette irritates Ambrosia to the point of enmity. He didn't think much of Marionette at first, aside from his admiration for their appearance. That came to an end when he realized Marionette's interest in Vincent. Despite the fact that Marionette's attraction is not romantic, Ambrosia becomes envious and enraged about it. Marionette is mistreated by him as a result, going far as calling him names and treating him like an object - even getting physical with him by striking or injuring his fragile doll skin. Ambrosia has tried to eat Marionette's dreams before, but he came to discover that their dreams aren't edible.
