Not much is really known about Blaze, because Blaze never really seems to give a straight answer to any question she is asked. Whether is due to her not knowing or not wanting to tell anything about herself is genuinely hard to establish, as she has an uncanny ability to either change the subject or have something intervene before she can say anything. Animals had learned over time to just not ask her, but some do still attempt it, only to be left in their own state of confusion at how well she was able to avoid the subject.

Blaze’s luck is also uncanny in many ways. What would usually be a disaster to others would somehow be a path to paradise for her. Not to say that she is blessed by unimaginable luck and good circumstances as she works hard for everything that she has, but you know how people will say “Anything can be achieved with a positive attitude”? Blaze is the living divinity of that phrase. It is very hard to bring her down or to snuff out her good vibes, and if you do manage to do that you will feel like the biggest asshole in the world, even if you already felt like you were one.

Blaze entered Jake’s life by falling through the ceiling of his day job’s place. Before that, she was living in the space above the ceiling of Jake’s day job’s place for quite a few months, and was using it as her hideaway for her own personal repair business. The only reason she fell through the ceiling was because to run a business such as this you need spare parts, and spare parts can be heavy. Especially when you also help yourself to a few other items and only have so much space to host them . Once Jake had gotten over the shock of Blaze’s entrance and existence, she was able to impress him with her repair and tech know-how, which led to her being allowed to use the back alley of Jake’s work as her repair shop site, as long as she didn’t steal any more things. The terms and conditions of this agreement were met, though Blaze did still steal some things, but only if she really really... thought they were nice.

Soon after this, although she was able to run her business quite well from her back alley location, Blaze thought it would be good to have a proper, non-ceiling gap, non-back alley establishment of her own. On the one occasion where Jake wasn’t able to intervene with any of her decisions, Blaze was able to find a small townhouse/shop combo for sale for nearly a steal, and bought the place. And it turns out the place came with something that wasn’t on the listing: a demon summoning circle in the basement! Which Blaze happened to understand, and happened to accidentally summon a demon that soon became her very, very good friend. See what a positive attitude can bring to you?

Blaze is a very skilled engineer who can fix and build almost anything if given enough time to do so. She is also a pyromaniac, a little impulse that seems to catch her and others off guard at the best of times, hence the need for her to be looked out for. On top of that, Blaze is also a kleptomaniac, and it’s pretty often that you’ll find something in her many pockets that she has gotten the strong impulse to swipe. She doesn’t mean any harm by doing these things, and she knows not to take or set on fire important stuff, but anything else is off limits, so be prepared.

Generally speaking Blaze is a very upbeat, happy and friendly type of Animal. She can get along with just about anyone and never has an ill word to say about them either. To some she might seem naive, but Blaze is very sharp and very observant. She just doesn’t like stressing about things, is all. And if you give things enough time they always work out, even if they just need a little persuasion with a hammer and a flamethrower that she very much did not build herself after being told not to make it as it is illegal in many places.
