Minty

a capricious, unpredictable creature, for sure. minty is a gluttony demon, which have a curious phenotype that changes the colors of their horns, hair and skin depending on their preferred food. as you can surmise, minty is a bit of a sweet tooth! for the longest time, minty lived in hell alongside others of her kind, but occasionally mingling with other greater demons. minty has always been more cheerful than most, especially considering the morbid conditions she lived in. she has always been the type to lighten the mood wherever she is. despite it all, she was unhappy. there simply weren’t enough yummy things in hell, and she was getting unfulfilled! understimulated! and for oh-so-many centuries! and if there’s anything that ruins the mood of a gluttony demon, it‘s understimulation. simply nothing was sustaining her, not the food, not the sounds, the sights… what a terribly dull place.

so, of course, when minty heard she was going to be sent to the surface, she was very excited! of course, poor little (large, very large) minty never did quite realize that she was but a pawn in the grand game of somebody else. not that she would care, even if she did knew — in fact, deep down, minty cares for nothing other than her own desires. if her own path to fulfillment happens to also benefit somebody else, then that’s simply a bonus! a thoroughly selfish individual despite her sweet and bubbly exterior, minty gleefully followed eshaan’s plan that somebody would take care of her, and she only needed to show up at the address. let’s just say, her old ”friend” ferdinand wasn’t mutually happy to see her.

in truth, living with minty is much like living with a wild animal. she has absolutely no clue of the way of life in the mortal world, and seems not to care at all to learn. why should she care about what all these little ones get up to? nothing about it makes sense to her. spending her whole life picking up the souls of the damned and shoving them down her gullet is a habit that’s hard to shake… she isn’t allowed outside unsupervised for this very reason. she’s a nice person, simply one that you don’t want to be stuck in the same room with, lest she gets bored of you. and given how easily she gets bored… maybe it’s a good thing she’s started to prefer candy over the taste of human flesh.
