Shun

Shun has always been a shy child who kept to himself. He only relied on his parents and when he went to school for the first time, he's been an anxious mess. However, he did manage to make friends since kids would approach him and make conversation with him, and Shun would shyly give them a response. Suddenly, Shun's family life took a turn when he caught his mother at night. She had stabbed his father, and even though Shun couldn't remember what she exactly said when she stabbed him, Shun could tell she stabbed his father due to how obsessed she is over him.

Shun's father wasn't allowed to go to company drinking parties and was always told to come home early. Even to people outside their family, people could tell how abusive Shun's mother is. Some of the neighbors would also ask Shun what his mother is like, and Shun would respond everytime. Neighbors realized that the mother is only obsessed with the father, and she would only bring up Shun when people asked. When Shun caught his mother stabbing his father, besides fear, Shun felt like he could deeply understand his mother.

This feeling scared Shun. After all, he will never justify what his mother did. She rightfully went to jail and Shun was taken care of by his relatives. He was treated fine, and his relatives made sure to never bring his mother up around him. Shun would get hysterical just hearing about his mother or seeing her face, because he realized not only does Shun resemble her the most, but their desires were the same. Shun was terrified of ever becoming like his mother, he never wants to get to the point of hurting his future loved ones, and he's scared that if he ever got a lover or anyone he deeply loves, he'll end up destroying that person like what his mother did. Shun's mother is a reminder that Shun will most likely end up in her situation, so he closed himself off.

"Maybe I'm not meant for love."

Shun goes to a polytechnic university, majoring in Fine Arts as he always had a love for painting and still does. However personality-wise, Shun seemed to worsen as he became distant to his past friends and refuses to open up. Even though his past friends found out the news about his mother being a murderer and still wanted to be friends with him, Shun's self esteem has been incredibly low and he couldn't always reply to their messages in time, since he gets overwhelmed looking at messages and emails. Surprisingly, he's able to handle constructive criticism despite being incredibly fragile, but that's most likely because Shun expected them.

Shun isn't completely friendless. He does have friends to hang out with, even in university. The only problem is that he doesn't reveal too much about himself, and only gives his friends the smallest bit of info. In his birthday, they would mostly gift him art supplies as that's the only thing they know Shun likes, and thankfully Shun appreciates these gifts. Even though his friends want more, Shun is fine with the way things are, as he doesn't know what he would do if his friends truly found out his deepest desire. If he revealed that secret to them, they would probably avoid him just to be safe, and Shun can't even get mad at that.

Even though Shun is fine with how little his friends know about him, he does wish he was "normal" so he can truly go all out when it comes to being himself. Shun can't stand hiding himself, but for his safety he kept quiet. It's lonely and Shun wants more, but he doesn't know how much he could hold back if he did find someone who loves him for who he is...
