Design Notes:

   His hair is salt and pepper gray and grows shaggy. His eyes are grey with a noticeable cataract-like dullness. Barrett is buff (I guess) but as he's gotten older he doesn't try to keep up with maintaining his physique. He also has a lot of scars (from battle, experiment, sisters, etc.).

Style:

   He prefers to wear comfortable and loose clothing in his free time. He almost always has a jacket on. For work, he wears his E.A.S.T. ISSUED COMBAT SUIT, sometimes with his trademark helmet too. Now that he’s older, this outfit typically includes sweatpants and a jacket though.

PERSONALITY

   Barrett is kind of mean and almost always grumpy. He has seen a lot of things, good and bad. He also wants his title to be taken seriously: his seniority as a veteran rifter plus another 100+ years of other stuff too. Despite his unapproachable exterior, he cares a lot about the students and professors that he resides over, and will do everything he can to prepare them for the future. 

   He also has a few older younger siblings that he has taken guardianship over. He is fiercely protective of them and tries to give them a normal upbringing, due to his lack of one. They take up most of his free time, so he comes off as unavailable to his coworkers and friends. Barrett is terrified of cats.

PAST

   Barrett is from a government facility where they did experiments on him and stuff. Known as E.A.S.T., their main goal was to test the limits of human cellular manipulation after being exposed to gene altering (retained) rifts. Over the early years of his life, he developed two mutations, and was considered one of the few successes. He was then subjected to decades of tests, government work, and plenty of less than ideal circumstances.

   Thanks to a late "friend," Barrett was eventually able to escape the facility. Together they exposed E.A.S.T. for its' inhumane testing and mercenary-like deals between governments and politicians. To put it short, a bunch of people died and the facility was shut down. He was later recruited by the Assistant Director J to work for TripleR. Though, after working there for a few decades, he has mixed feelings about his life choices and career.

  • Heal from injuries, including ones as severe as loss of limbs/organs
