Ayeff Kelly

Childhood/Backstory: Kelly is an orphan. She was given up by her bio parents when she was a mere 6 months old. She grew up with many other orphans. Many times she'd lose her friends as they became adopted while she was never officially adopted by anyone. She was fostered out a few times but returned within weeks, the foster parents claiming Kelly caused the toilet, tubs and sinks to over-flow. They never saw Kelly do anything to the water bearing objects but claimed it all the same. Around the age of 8 Kelly had walked in on one of the nuns singing. She had a beautiful voice. Kelly was so mesmerized by it and wanted nothing more than to be able to sing just as well as the nun. Kelly was overcome by this desire and burst into song scaring the nun. The nun knew it was going to be a long road to tuning Kelly's raspy squeaky voice.

Around the age of 16 Kelly's voice had become fantastic and she begged the nuns/monks for permission to perform at the local talent show. Kelly had decided she would sing Amazing Grace for the crowd. The crowd was so overcome with emotions of joy and sadness from her performance. About a month after the talent show a young couple came to the orphanage interested in fostering Kelly. Kelly was overcome with joy that she may finally have a mother and father.

For about a month things seemed great. She got to know her foster parents well enough. Her foster mother worked 2nd shift, while her foster father worked first shift. Many evenings it would just be her and her foster father at dinner. Then something started to feel... off. Kelly would wake in the morning and find bruises on herself. She didn't remember falling or bumping into anything but accepted she must have. She began to notice she was becoming increasingly tired after dinner on most nights. She started becoming suspicious about what was going on. The one night she faked a stomachache and went to bed early. Sometime around 10pm it happened. Her foster father came into the room and tried putting some kind of drug in her mouth. She bit down on his hand drawing blood before spitting out the drug. He backhanded her across the face calling her an ungrateful bitch. That she should be happy someone finally took a mutt like her into their home. The least she could do was be thankful (with her body). Kelly couldn't believe what she was hearing. He went into detail telling her how she was such a good girl, so tight, so fresh and young. His words became drowned by her beating heart. Before she knew it the house was struck by a wave. Her fear was so great it called upon the gods of the sea to take out those who violated her.

The next several months were difficult as Kelly had to deal with court appearances. Her foster father tried to turn the tables saying she came onto him. Eventually there was enough evidence to convict the bastard. Her foster mother is also doing time as she was an accomplice on all of this.

Kelly returned to the orphanage, in her absence there were some new children that joined the home. Hardly children. They were all teens like her. They all had similar horror stories and quickly they all became friends. They found strength and comfort with each other. All of them were musically inclined. Jennifer was a whiz on pianos and keyboards. Sid found drums really helped him release a ton of stress and found great pleasure in drumming. And Jessee was incredible on bass. They soon formed a band and climbed the ranks very fast. They even had a few hit songs like "That's bullshit" and "How Could You".

Their climb came to a quick halt when they found out just how Lollywood worked. Sexual favors were the norm and none of them would have that. Since they refused Lollywood quickly fabricated stories on the band and their popularity sank as did their hearts.

The four of them continued to practice and write songs while they also pursued a higher education. They all knew they needed some other skills in the world to get "regular" jobs which equal money which equals food in their bellies. Currently all the members are still holding regular jobs while still holding onto their dreams of making it without selling out.

Profession: Kelly still has dreams to be a famous singer, but she'll do it on her terms, not Lollywood's. She currently acquires her income between giving voice lessons and working retail at the pet shop.

Relationships: Kelly has her family. Jennifer, Sid and Jessee. That's all she really needs. She used to want to know more about her bio parents, but has given up wanting to know. She doesn't trust anyone older than her easily. Her parents abandoned her, her fosters abused her, Lollywood raked her over the coals... She has a bone to pick with anyone asserting control over her. When she gets overly riled up about this only Jessee is able to calm her down. It's believed there is some romantic relationship between the two, but it has been hard to get either of them to confirm. Despite what happened to Kelly she still is able to care and love others.

More Info: She believes everyone has the power within themselves to create miracles, they just need to believe in themselves. Thus it frustrates her to no end when people can't see their own potential.

Fantastical Traits: She can play the violin as well as any carnegie hall symphonist. She just picked up a violin one day and was able to play. Just like that. She still doesn’t know why. Being part water dragon, Kelly has the ability to call upon bodies of water. It's a very draining task and usually is fueled by extreme emotions.

Goals: Kelly still aims to be a famous singer, but on her own terms.
