Mimicry
Florian's black magic allows him to mimic other kits' powers to a certain extent. Spells come easy with enough studying and observation! His eyes turn red when he is using his powers.
Affliction
Due to Florian's strong magical powers, he unfortunately struggles with asthma. Using too much of his powers can result in an attack. He keeps his inhaler in a little fanny pack.
Bite
Florians canines are abnormally long for him, so he is prone to biting his tongue or the corner of his mouth. It hurts.
Muckspout
Florian has quite the potty mouth! He tends to use archaic kittenese to curse at others. (I wonder who he got that from...) Due to his upbringing, he is not one to hold his tongue, and is very blunt in his speech.
Flamboyant Dinners
Dinner time at the Van Leeuwen household is the most sacred of events and everyone tries their best to be in attendance. If you are late for dinner, you can expect not to eat (there are never any leftovers). Everyone is required to dress up for the gathering and sometimes there will be themes to follow. Florian enjoys putting together different costumes for each meal!
Sharp Shooter
Blessed with impeccable eyes and sense of aim, it became natural for Florian to take up sharpshooting. With his ailments impeding on his ability to perform physical activity befit a child of his age, his grandfather put a rifle in his hand and took him hunting for sport when he was younger. His family would soon learn of his skills with firearms and projectile weapons, thus encouraging him to take archery lessons. Florian has a big fascination with firearms, hoping to garner his own small collection when he's older just like his grandfather. For now, his favorite weapon of choice is his crossbow. He just loves to shoot at people!

He keeps a picture of his late mother on his bednight stand. He'll sometimes talk to it for advice or to relay the events of his day.
About
Florian-Grey Lazarious Rose Van Leeuwen, son of Lazarus Van Leeuwen, comes from a family of aristocrats long reveared for their wealth and feared for their dark powers. Born into great nobility, Florian's normal day is dedicated towards his rigorous education and his rather capricious extracurricular activities. What that entails... Well, one day he might have his cello lessons, another day he might be practicing his marksmanship at the target range. While expectations for Florian are rather high, he does not back down from his responsibilities and revels at the chance of creating new experiences for himself. Intelligent, imaginative, creative, and kind, Florian is a bright eyed kit who yearns to learn more of the world. Although short in stature, Florian laughs in the face of danger and puts on a brave face.
A Peculiar Child...
While Florian may seem like the perfect child, he still has his own misheivous streak. As the son of a mortician, Florians love for the macabre started at a young age. He was always fascinated with all things peculiar and strange. Often times he likes to share this passion with others; leaving bugs in kits' pockets, bringing glass jars with various specimens to school, or casting strange spells on others. Florian's strangeness has made him prone to teasing from other kits, and bullies may pick on him from time to time. But being a spoiled child from one of the wealthiest families on Purrasia has taught him many things, the most important thing being that to get by in this world, sometimes we must stoop low to climb to the top, and he isn't averse to playing dirty in order to get his way...
Cursed Bloodline
Being a member of one of the most powerful families of Purrasia does not come without its setbacks. With all the dark energy that surrounds the family, it is said that the Van Leeuwens are cursed. Each and every Van Leeuwen suffers an affliction due to the powerful magical energy that dwells within them. Florian's personal affliction is that he sufferrs from asthma attacks when using too much of his magic. As Florian may be prone to experiencing attacks at random, he usually has a servant in attendance or watching nearby.
With all the wealth they have, it's uncertain whether the Van Leeuwens have won the lottery at life or if they are plagued with misfortune. The family has endured a history of accidents through generations. In florian's case, his birth was not an easy one; his mother soon passed due to illness. While Florian is aware of his family's questionable history, he does his best to stay positive. Even now, he keeps his mother in his heart without ever knowing her and loves his family dearly.

Lazarus Van Leeuwen [ Father ]
Lazarus is Florian's subject of adoration, as any father would be for his son. On days where his father is home, he will often keep him company in his father's study, or watch him tend to the deseased in the basement. He knows that he is too young to be a proper help for his father, but he hopes to grow up fast in order to carry on the family business and become someone who his father can rely more on!
Elsbeth Van Leeuwen [ Aunt ]
Only his most favorite of Aunts, Elsbeth often spoils Florian and takes him around town for lavish excursions. While he loves these spontaneous trips, he can't figure out whether his dear aunt wants to spend time with him or just use him as an accessory. Most of the time, they tend to go shopping at her favorite stores, but seeing her smile at the end of the trip always fills him with joy.
Chihiro [ Best Friend ]
Chihiro is Florian's best friend in the whole wide world! Being one of the other smarter students in class, he gets along with Chihiro quite well, and Chihiro isn't put off by his more quirky habits. One of Florian's favorite past times with Chihiro is when they bring different hard candies to share with each other! Chihiro usually picks out all the sour flavors and gives them to Florian, though, it would be nice to have a sweet one once in a while too... Although smaller than Chihiro, Florian is Chihiro's self appointed protector. Any bully that come their way will get a swift kick to the shin!
Ludwig Lavan Bakethoven [ Cello Instructor ]
Sir Bakethoven is Florian's cello instructor. After learning the piano, Florian yearned for another instrument to play. On a whim, he chose the cello which doesn't seem to be a good fit on the account that he can never stay awake during Sir Bakethoven's lessons. Often times, Bakethoven's demonstrations put Florian to sleep! Regardless of how boring playing the Cello is, Florian will continue to push through and become the best cello musician ever! Well... Maybe in his dreams.
Wink [ Book Buddy ]
Florian first met Wink as a little kit one visit at the grand library in his area. Intrigued by Wink's dedication to his writing, nosy little Florian crept up on Wink's work. While Wink found Florians prescence to be quite awkward at first, after a few more coincidental run-ins, Wink began to read to Florian to pass the time and soon realized he enjoyed the young kit's company. Now that Florian is a little older, Wink asks Florian for his opinion on Wink's manuscripts for a story he most likely will never publish.
