Marvel at the sight and following show of Jericho, a man with little shame and regret in anything he does or says. Wise enough to know when enough is enough, yet still daring and roguish without a doubt. Only those closest to him are ever likely to hear the truth about his escapades... Maybe.

BETTER A WITTY FOOL THAN A FOOLISH WIT

Personality

Practical yet Imaginative, Perceptive and Bold, Charismatic and Social but only when required
Very prone to Swindling, a Fabulist (aka big stupid liar) Incredibly forward and unafraid of confrontation.
Risk-prone and keen to stand his own ground, always. Impatient but still a problem-solver - hates leaving things unfinished - uses his initiative. Usually level-headed and will think before he acts on bigger targets.
Ominous and alluring - enjoys attention, good or bad. Persuasive and manipulative, likes to get his own way and is no stranger to faking charisma in an effort to win important people over.
Histrionic and very dramatic in lots of situations - a showman, a conman, a thespian-thief with an unyielding lust for trouble.

Wise enough to know when enough is enough, yet still daring and roguish without a doubt. Lying comes as second nature to the man, and only those closest to him are ever likely to hear the truth about his escapades... Maybe.

History

The fool doth think he is wise, but the wise man knows himself to be a fool
wanted so badly to make a name for himself he nearly put a man to death. desperately yearned to impress his kinsmen from his home kingdom, and instead birthed fury and loathing two fold

- Borne from anything but love between two work-driven parents. Corrupt Military mages from a land far from Ivras, who loved little but slaving away at a desk, undoubtedly signing death warrants to those below them without batting an eye. Children are indeed a product of their environment, and it's definitely thanks to them that Jericho grew to be such a fine crafter of lies.

- Spent his time in the wilds outside of the kingdom he hailed from with other children despite the efforts of his parents to keep him from mingling with the common folk. Enjoyed mind games often at other's expense, though still was unsure of his magic ability.

- First recognised his skills when experiencing a high amount of emotion suddenly, most notably being fear. An encounter with an angry stranger at the receiving end of a prank resulted in a verbally-vicious telling off and frightened the young BOY into accidentally crafting an illusion terrifying enough to scare the stranger off.

- Lack of interest in joining the military kept Jericho from telling his parents immediately, though they soon found out when word of the two respectable figure's child causing havoc and assaulting strangers minds in the streets for no good cause reached their ears.

- After hours of intense discussion with his parents, it was decided that Jericho would be sent away to live with his uncle, Belmont, a magic-user who had an interest in casual teaching for practical use, and favoured defense over offense. He enjoyed the time away from home, and quickly showed skill and finesse with his power, lovingly named Raven's Jest from his uncle. Found himself feeling inspired and passionate for the first time in his life.

- Unfortunately it didn't last too long - Once again he was swayed by other young teens that learned under Belmont's tutorage and joined their escapades to finally make a name for himself that wasn't just his parents. They'd spend evenings selling fake elixer to those who knew no better.

- To cut a long story short, a fake elixer used to scam an innocent buyer nearly resulted in their death - Jericho's friends pinned all blame on him as the newcomer, and so he was sent back home. He was rushed and close to being smuggled considering the uproar caused, but Belmont couldn't throw Jer to the wolves and gave him chance to leave for home.

The Raven's Watch

- On the ship, Jericho realised that neither place was home enough for him to return. So, with the little coin he had left on him from his scams, he paid the captain of the ship to take him far away and pretend he'd never boarded the ship at all. After weeks at sea, Jericho took his first steps in the land he'd soon learn to call home; Ivras.

- It took him a while to find his bearings but eventually the young man found himself settling with a band of nomads living in the Southern Wildlands. Here is where he really learned to survive; He learned how to hunt, how to fend for himself, and how to truly live for himself and for his newfound family. The man enjoyed the nomad lifestyle - every day was something new and unpredictable, and members of the band even called scamming their way of life - thus Jericho's magic was a boon to them.

- Spent years living with the band until one by one they dispersed, looking for a quiet retirement - it was here that Jericho, at 27, decided he would start his own band of merry men. He'd long been used to the monsters that plagued Ivras' land, and so worked under the guise of a mercenary guild - of course, they'd offer up their arms to anyone who needed the help (and had the coin) but it was their ulterior motives that were most important. A band of no good thieves and con men, working together in a close-knit community and ensuing everyone looked out for their fellow brothers in arms. Under the name "The Raven's Watch," Jericho continued to con for it's truly all he'd ever known.

- It didn't take long before fellow mercenaries joined his league, which means it wasn't long before word of his crew began to spread, for better or for worse. While it was mostly a secret to outsiders that The Raven's did more than fight monsters or scare off that dude who looks at you funny, their reputation was something they took pride in - gritty, tough, and highly-skilled, something every member reveled in being known as.

- Now Jericho continues his scams and monster-slaying and has written quiet a story for himself, a story he hopes is retold for years to come.

Raven's Jest

Jericho can emit a red to pale yellow smoke from his mouth which leaves those within the mist dazed and confused - from this, hallucinations can be cast. They take forms which appear very real to the victim, but can only be seen by anyone inhailing the fog. In simple terms, the Fog acts as a small non-lethal poison which affects cognative ability and causes those effected to believe they are seeing things.

In it's weakest form and without the Fog, Jericho's magic is used simply - to change his cards in a card game for example. At it's strongest, these visions can have real, physical effects or create large-scale visions that may seem completely other worldly, or cause the target to believe they are in another realm entirely. While he has not yet mastered the art of controlling that part in the slightest, he is not one to use his magic where it isn't entirely called for. Still, he won't mind cheating a few hands of poker... It's for the greater good!

+2 power Jericho's magic now appears a little too real; visions seem solid and are not shrounded in red mist.

+1 Corruption Jericho's magic can now cause lingering side effects of paranoia.

+2 Discipline Jeicho can switch between visions quicker.

+1 Discipline stonger visions.

+1 Discipline can target vague fears

+1 Power +1 Discipline +1 Corruption Can start to tailor his visions to specific, individual fears and loves

+1 Power Lingering effects last longer-- Gains agelessness with 15 stats

If you wanna have a good time, just give me a call

Enjoys reding a lot, surprisingly!

Very interested and into fashion - most of his gold goes on buying new clothes, if not a new fancy sword.

Isn't opposed to the idea of getting rich and settling down - this isn't necessarily his end-game.

Likes to lie about a lot of his epic tales... Just to spice things up a little.

Has quite the battle scar down his chest, though no one really knows what it's from - of course the story changes every time it's told.

Jericho is more... Aligned with honourable criminals than anything - he himself follows a strict code and holds each of his Ravens to that as well. Anyone seen breaking his own morals is swiftly removed from the band of bastards.
