Azher

Azher is a very kind person, but also very shy. You’d probably not hear him for the first or second time you talk! He’s usually very brave in most situations though. He’s just shy, not a scaredy-cat.

Azher is quick to apologize, even for the smallest things or situations that aren’t even his fault! He tries to see the best in everyone, even in difficult situations. Azher is often treating to Rhen’s wounds whenever his partner gets too rough with his friendly combats with others.

Azher and Rhen both work at a small gift shop in Leaflet Village. They don’t get many customers due to how small their village is, but they do make enough to get by even with raising Ashton.

ABILITY:

Azher has the ability to make small cloud-like smoke. This doesn’t really do anything to help with combat, and is pretty much just there to look pretty.

Azher was born with cutaneous asthenia, which gave him a difficult time to make friends, since every kid he met thought he looked weird whenever they’d find out about it. This is in addition to the fact that most of them were into fighting, which Azher couldn’t participate in due to his sensitive skin.

He did have a few playground friends during his time in his birthplace in IronForge City, such as Uhkrio and Quiro. He’d sometimes feel the need to playfight with them since that was all they’d ever want to do, mostly Uhkrio, and he didn’t want to feel left out. His fighting skills were obviously never as close as good as theirs though.

He and his family eventually moved to Leaflet Village when he was 7 due to not being able to afford to live in a big city anymore, and lost touch with the only friends he had. Due to his shyness, it was difficult for him to make friends, and he was alone yet again.

Azher met Nate when he was 14, who told him not to listen to his bullies, despite still improving on that himself. After a few conversations, Azher grew to like Nate a lot, and tried to shoot his shot by confessing. Unfortunately, while Nate did think he was a good friend, he said that he was straight and doesn’t feel the same way for Azher. Azher was saddened by this, but tried to shake off the feeling.

Azher helped Nate look for Furizu, and they eventually did. Like with Nate, Azher grew to like Furizu after a bit of conversations, but was turned down once more since Azher was not Furizu’s type. Azher remained good friends with both of them, but had to go back home to Leaflet Village.

In Leaflet Village is where he met Rhen, who had recently moved in at 15. Unlike with his previous crushes, Azher didn’t start falling for him after only a few conversations. They grew close as best friends at first, and eventually, Rhen confessed. By that point, Azher already grew to like him as more than just a friend, so you can imagine how happy he felt.

At 18, Azher was one of the people who helped to rescue Ashe from the hands of Cascade and Kaizo. A few years after those events, Azher and Rhen ended up adopting Ashton from an orphanage. Well, it was mostly Rhen’s idea.

At 22, both Rhen and Azher were met with Cascade again. They were surprised to find out she was living with their friends, some of the people she was rivals with, but after Furizu explained further, they gave her a second chance. They trusted Kami’s judgement and believed she knows what she’s doing.
