The prince of the empirical Cortosia, Corsas finds himself to be everything that a Cortosian shouldn't be. Weak of body and heart, but with an undeniable force of will, Corsas was forced through the rigorous training that every Cortosian soldier must endure before joining the biggest army on the continent, and came out the other side with a firmer belief that such strife is not the way that his country shall take under his rule. Driven by his faith both in Jakoni and in his friends, Corsas aims to pull his continent from the shadow of war and into the light of the future.

Backstory
Born Ulten Asena, Corsas's life was decided for him from birth. He was the prince of Cortosia, a nation ruled with an iron fist and expanded through military conquest since its inception. Fittingly he was to be commander of its grand military, a stern presence who lead from the front as his father Erlik did in the war that broke out when Corsas was too young to truly remember. However, even as this war raged on the other side of the continent, Corsas found himself incompatible with the vision of his future his country had for him. He was physically weak, and often too worried about hurting himself or others to even begin any combat training. King Erlik despised such weaknesses, seeing them as not only his son's failures but his own, and so began his attempts to force Corsas to 'toughen up' as he'd say. First, he forbade any of the country's elite guards from protecting Corsas so that he'd learn self defense techniques. Then, when Corsas still refused, Erlik simply let the boy roam the streets of the capital, where the people's disdain for a weak heir was made open and known to him. Finally, Corsas was forced to attend the Cortosian Military Academy, known for it's brutal and unforgiving training. The academy was hell for Corsas. Every student seemed to have it out for the heir, believing in Cortosia's strength above all mentality. Every student but two: Musta, a brash man who had personally assigned himself to protecting Corsas when the king wouldn't, and Ashela, the academy's top prospect and the ideal Cortosian citizen. In addition, it was during his stay at the academy that Corsas found the church of Jakoni; a group that the general populace despised due to their ideals which conflicted with the Cortosian way. It was in the church that the prince received the name Corsas, as confirmation of his faith, and that he met Mother Sky, the leader of the Jakonite faith and a surrogate mother for the boy. It was in this manner that Corsas made it through the academy, and when Corsas grew old enough he was determined to help people in his own way. Donning a disguise and grabbing his few friends to accompany him, he left for the neighboring country of Dancaa, still reeling from the war so many years ago. Secretly, Corsas also hopes to find the lance Temir, sign of Cortosia's strength, which was lost in the last war. Maybe then his father would understand one can be strong without cruelty.
Present Day
Corsas's mission to Dancaa was more eventful than he intended; joining up with Stein, son of the late Dancaan king who began the last war, he and his compatriots ended the succession crisis and established some sort of stability to the country which had long lain in ruin. Despite this, Temir remains lost, and word comes from the magical academy of Carsas that a dark artifact was stolen by none other than King Erlik himself, and that the king rides to the final place that Temir may reside: Dracalheim, the final participant in that horrid war. So Corsas , revealing his true identity to his friends, marches to conflict with his father, knowing that this will determine not only his fate but Cortosia's as a whole.
