ORLA
Orla is serene, quiet but not afraid to smack her brother Ronan over the head when he needs it. She prefers her time alone mostly, unless she is with Romy.
Unlike her brother, she was conflicted on whether or not to accept the bite for some time. Her mother taught her what witchcraft she still practiced and her father taught her of the wilderness. Her want to stay human flickered out in her teenage years as she found it troublesome to socialize outside of the Leon Pack. She accepted the bite and she enjoyed the freedom. Her capabilities with witchcraft decreased as a result but she practices the basics still. When Romy joined their pack, she found comfort in someone as withdrawn as her and she has fallen for them and is unsure what to do with those feelings.
Relationships
Joel [ Father ]
Her father is a massive comfort for her. She will sometimes go to just lay or sit with him and he will know to wrap his arms around them and stay like that for some time without a word. He knows that's all that's needed sometimes. The two both share a mysterious air to them and they meld together in that very well.
Sarah [ Mother ]
Orla's mother is also their mentor. Orla looks up to her very much as a leader and teacher and as their mother. Orla pushers themself to be more like her mother. Sarah sees this and will have to push Orla to slow down. They need to hear that sometimes in order to not stress over their ambitions. Sarah is very much something of a catalyst for Orla.
Ronan [ Sibling ]
As far as big brother's go, Orla is pretty sure Ronan fits the bill pretty well. He teases them the most of anyone else when he's not laying around somewhere. She's quick to rebut his antics though, but it's fun in it's own way. Orla sometimes wonder if she's the elder of the two as she sometimes has to do a lot of looking after with him. Or she's just a bit more fussy.
Sean [ Third Cousin ]
Sean was charmed by having a little 'niece' for a time. Calling her a princess and treating her to feminine toys and treats. It became clear after some time that they grew out of that and was feeling more distant from being seen as princess, often playing gender neutral character roles in playtime with other kids very insistantly. Orla didn't totally dislike being treated femininely but hated the assumption as Orla's family came to realize. Sean addressed it openly by buying her a gender neutral looking children's dress suit for a friend's funeral in town. From there he addressed her as she/they and Orla's family followed suit. It pleased her deeply. Sean has always been open minded and it made Orla comfortable in talking about these things with him.
Cole [ Fourth Cousin ]
The two have a sorta of kinship as younger family members that look after things. Orla talks to Cole as an equal and Cole likes that a lot. Orla also taught Cole some homecare remedy things that can be done by non-witchfolk as well.
Isaac [ Pack Member ]
What's worse than one big brother? Two. Isaac is simply another elder brother to them and likes to tease her as older siblings tend to do. But unlike Ronan, Isaac actually pulls more of his weight around the place. If not more than his weight, often taking on Ronan's leftover chores. Orla thinks he let's Ronan get away with too much but doesn't say anything about it really because, hey, it's getting done and it's less that Orla has to pick up after.
Nailah [ Pack Member ]
Nailah tries to get Orla out of their comfort zone to go have fun with her. They feel bad that they don't more, but Orla has trouble keeping up with Nailah. She does best if Romy occompanies them too. But Nailah knows this and will often get Romy to join her night outs to which Orla will reluctantly join. Orla is very envious of Nailah's charisma and energy but Nailah has enough for the whole pack anyways.
Romy [ Pack Member | Love Interest ]
Romy is a mystery to most of the pack, save for Nailah and Orla. Nailah knows more of what Romy came from, though Romy has confided in Orla about many things. Watching Romy's transformation from spiney and untrusting to a bit bristlely but warm has melted Orla's heart. Romy's ability to trust after the things they went through was something Orla found very powerful and strong, and she fell head over heels. Orla's not sure what to do with the feelings she has for Romy as she feels that they'll burden Romy. For now they are content with being at Romy's side.
