Scarlet is cold and calculating. She's a fierce creature and is very blunt with her opinions. Scarlet is not a social butterfly, but she's capable of holding her own in a conversation. She's usually mild-mannered unless someone pisses her off. She likes things clean and neat, precise and perfect. She's mildly OCD, but not severely so. She tends to get violent when things don't go her way. Death is not something that fascinates her as it does with other horses. Rather, death to her is her job. She is a trained assassin and spends her free time eliminating targets. She's very practiced in the art of stealth and can very easily slip in, make one precise, killing blow, and slip out without being noticed. She's a Dark mare through and through - to her, the Darks are the worst society can churn out - the most violent, the most harsh, abrasive and cruel. Darks are evil, and Darks will always be evil. Scarlet is not bothered even by the worst crimes a horse can commit because to her, it is to be expected. Scarlet is deeply loyal to her family, though her heart is not large enough to handle a lot of members. The choice few that are close to her heart, she will protect with her life.

Scarlet Ice was the first born in a set of twins. Her family had just arrived in the new Wild Equines and her parents had caught a disease during the traveling. Scarlet Ice hung around her family until she was two years old. She had always had a darker attitude than the rest of her family and sought out the extremist Darks, learning how to kill, maim, injure, make her victims scream and beg for mercy. It was then that she met Black Tide and they became partners in crime. They claimed a land titled Hidden Caverns. They then visited Dark Woods and murdered their former Beta Mare, Nikita. Lateralus, the King, caught them, but let them go. She and Black Tide then had a daughter named Acheri. It changed them a little, making them softer around foals, but they didn't cease in their killings and planned on training their daughter into the art of massacre and assassination. Complications arose when Dark Woods took over the Main Land they were under, but so far, nothing bad has happened. Scarlet met Jake in the Helkaer lands and they spat and fought until she decided to leave.

Scarlet called her little family together and announced to Black Tide that she was pregnant again. After several months she traveled to Tulor Woods and had her first son, Kasdeya. Kasdeya proved himself a handful to raise. Acheri decided to move away from her family and outside of Wild Equines. Scarlet and Tide are just starting to teach their son how to fight. On one of her travels, she meets Russia, a cannibal and vampire mare, the first Scarlet has met so far.

However, one day Tide comes to inform her that he has "lost" their son. The two get into a heated fight, in which Scarlet attacks him, but the two eventually calm down enough to try to search for their son. They are then confronted by a stallion named Halloween, who says that his daugher was kidnapped as well. They follow the scents and discover that Kasdeya was taken by the same kidnapper. They eventually rescue Kasdeya from the kidnapper and Halloween gets his own daughter back as well. Scarlet is overjoyed to have her son back. A few weeks later, Scarlet finds herself pregnant again. Eleven months later, she gives birth to a second daughter that they name Lamia. Scarlet is saddened that Acheri is not around to meet her newest sister. The four of them remain happy in their little family. However, when Lamia is five months old, Scarlet becomes ill. She eventually becomes too sick to move. A month into the sickness, she passes away in her sleep. Her family leaves Hidden Caverns after they bury her.
