One of the Space Sleaze twins. 
They are proud of who they are in the sense that others who scorn them for their, um, lack of hygiene and... lack of taste.... are easily ignored, and maybe even hooted and hollered at in a mocking manner.

Their family was once of renown before Earth was shattered into smithereens; their prestige hasn't carried over for centuries... The Sleazes hadn't even been a twinkle in their great great great great grandparent's eye by the point that the family had lost power, money, and 'good breeding'. 
The Marchand name has spiraled out of control but everyone in the family is very adamant on letting others know their strong roots-- though it's more common for a Marchand of Baron Marchand fame to be poverty-stricken than successful.

 Gus and Roddy are beyond the scope of their kin, though, on the mend with a second-hand purchase of a Space Trucking franchise. 
They still don't make enough money to be out of the red, but they sure do enjoy the work- all its perils and rewards- so they kind of ignore that aspect of owning a company.

Gus himself is a bit of a wishy-washy fella, most often mistaken to be overly sly and conniving. Being in the company of his brother often gets him riled up beyond his true nature.
He says he's very stubborn and opinionated, then the next minute he's deliberating a passionate point someone is trying to make. To be fair, he doesn't make it clear whether or not he's considering someone's thoughts, and is often more quiet than he means to be, awaiting questions that allow him to word-vomit all of his present, meandering line-of-thinking.

He holds a mean grudge if he feels he's been burned, and is quite sharp in the business for it... While also being utter trash at the numbers. Unfortunately, Roddy is bad at them as well-- neither of them will have a talk about this, oftentimes too distracted with other details on the day-to-day operations. They both are quick to pick up ship operation, maintenance, and conveyance with other companies over tending hard-earned credits. It's truly a love for the job.

Roddy would be quick to laud himself as the strength of the company, while Gus considers himself tough in matters of the heart... Which feels like he's also physically tough... So he's also the self-labeled 'brawn'. Go figure.

• He steals Roddy's clothes when his own are beyond saving... And never tells Roddy about it.
• Allergic to most of the drugs Roddy takes so he can't steal them.
     Though he enjoys saying he doesn't need 'help' to take the edge off of tough business in comparison to his strung-out bro
• Needs reading glasses from time to time, but he's so embarrassed at the thought of looking like a dork that he hides this fact and avoids them
• Loves hats, especially ball caps, as well as leather wrist bands
• Roddy broke his nose when they were 'young rowdy boys' (aka when they were 28)
