Hair: Shoulder-length wavy brown hair, with streaks of grey and reddish-brown, sometimes tied back in a ponytail. As an adult he always has facial hair in the form of either a goatee or a light beard.

Eyes: Hazel colored and fairly large, with long, thick eyelashes

Build: tall, with a thin, graceful body (despite his clumsiness), and a moderate amount of body hair

Scars/Body Modifications/Other distinguishing features: One piercing in each ear. Eventually, he gets a star branded into the left side of his neck, and also in his early 20's he loses a tooth on the left side of his mouth, which is replaced with a gold one.

Clothing: He wears all the sort of things that were trendy in the 60s and 70s: bell-bottom jeans, long-sleeved shirts (usually with the top few buttons open) in bright colors and prints, and leisure suits when he wants to dress up a little more. He also often wears at least one gold necklace, and sometimes rings and bracelets as well.

Disposition: Alan likes to give off a sweet, shy, innocent vibe, and while he is truly a nice person he is far from being as "pure as snow" as he pretends to be. (Some find this irritating once they find out he pretty much always acts this way, even though he's always DTF. XD) He can't stand making anyone angry (especially his friends) and will do anything he can not to upset anyone, including going along with them and doing things he'd really rather not to, with very little protest. Underneath it all it's still fairly obvious when he's upset though, given how sensitive he is and how easily he cries. And since he so often keeps his negative opinions and emotions to himself there’s sometimes a sense he’s hiding something, and he becomes distant when he’s extremely angry or upset.

Mannerisms: Very flirtatious, (sometimes even when he's not trying to be), with his soft, sweet smiles and the way he'll bat his long eyelashes at people. He also tends to act extra shy around strangers looking at them over his shoulder in a cutesy way rather than making direct eye contact. And despite how graceful he looks he's also extremely clumsy and trips, falls, and bumps into things quite often.

Voice: (Imagine what a cartoon snake might sound like. XD) His voice is gentle, pleasant, and has a seductive, mesmerizing quality to it, making him also seem mysterious. And though it's not strong enough to be written out in my comics, he tends to draw out and hiss his "s" sounds.

Growing up, Alan was treated in very conflicting ways by his parents: his father disliked how sensitive and effeminate he was and was always hard on him, and either ridiculed him harshly or just ignored him altogether, while his mother coddled him and was always there with a shoulder to cry on. During his teen years he really started to crave male attention, especially from older men, and became quite promiscuous. During this time he also met Luca in high school, and the two became friends. And after a near-drowning incident where Luca had to pull him out of the water and give him CPR, saving his life, he became forever indebted to him (which Luca certainly takes advantage of.)
