Hair: Pure black hair, styled many different ways, depending on his age (see examples below). Also has thick eyebrows.

Eyes: Black, sleepy-looking, half-lidded eyes, sometimes with dark circles underneath

Build: Average/thin build and extremely hairy

Scars/Body Modifications/Other distinguishing features: One piercing in each ear. Eventually, he gets a star branded into the left side of his neck, in his early/mid 20s he gets a tattoo of the Virgin Mary on his left arm, and in his early 30s gets a tattoo on his upper back that says "James 4:12"

Clothing: Like his hairstyle, what he wears depends on his age and the time period he lives in. He dresses mostly in simple, casual clothing, and at any age can be seen wearing jeans with a belt (that has either an Italian flag or pot leaf-shaped buckle) and a t-shirt (often with a band logo on them.) In the 80's he almost always wears a "battle jacket" over his shirt, which he often still wears even during the Rebel Rebel comic. He seems to wear flannel shirts more often the older he gets (not for any special reason, he just likes them), and has a gold chain necklace that was given to him by Fernando, which he has never taken off since.

Disposition: Although he's not shy and isn't the least bit afraid to speak his mind (to most people), Romeo is still an introverted person, preferring to keep a lot of his thoughts and feelings to himself, and is fairly unemotional. When he does have something to say he's always blunt about it (even more so when he's older) and is never the type to sugarcoat things. The older he gets the more jaded and emotionless he becomes, sometimes to the point where it seems as though he's "dead inside." Even so, he never loses his sense of humor and can find amusement in the shittiest of situations. And despite how much he sleeps and makes it seem as though he wants to be alone he always enjoys being in the company of others.

Mannerisms: He is sometimes seen as "dumb" to those who try talking to him due to his "blank" facial expressions, slow reaction time, and tendency to mumble when he speaks, but he's much more thoughtful and remembers more that is said to him than most would ever suspect. (Though sometimes he's slow to react simply because of how much pot he smokes...) He doesn't use his hands much when he speaks, often just keeping them at his sides or in his pockets, though if he's holding something (such as a cigarette), he will sometimes point/gesture at people with it. He has pretty bad posture and often stands with his shoulders slumped and his head tilted forward/down.

Voice: His voice is very deep and gruff, and he has a thick Brooklyn/New York accent. He tends to mumble and slur his words a bit (especially more as he gets older), and very rarely raises his voice or puts much emotion into it. (The way Sylvester Stallone speaks in the Rocky movies is actually a pretty good example of what he'd sound like, LOL, though more so when he's older.)

Like his older brother (Luca), he was born and raised in New York City, living in an apartment with his parents. They had a rough childhood, dealing with an abusive father, though Luca defended and protected him from it as much as possible. This left Romeo with a deep, unconditional love for him, to the point where he even allows himself to be manipulated by him. And any time big brother would be out late nights he would always wonder and worry about him, and wait patiently for him to come home. As a young child his father had him in the church choir (until his voice changed), and as a teen he played baseball on his high school's team, where he also met his first boyfriend (Miguel). By the time he graduated high school and Miguel moved away Luca finally invited him into his little gang, and introduced him to Fernando.

 Years after the traumatic events that took place in his younger days (after joining his brother's gang) he lives a relatively quiet, easy life in Los Angeles. (I can't give too much of his story line away because I still have to draw it. XD)
