Squire

Squire was one of the few vessels that escaped the White Palace before being discarded, though they didn't get far. They were found by the watcher knights who served under Lurien. Unaware Squire was anything but a young orphaned bug, the watcher knights took them in, giving them the name "Squire." They considered the watcher knights to be family, and stayed with them even though staying in the City of Tears heightened their risk of being caught. The knights raised and trained the young vessel to be quick with a nail and shield, but also honorable and good. When the watcher knights fell to the corrupting light, Squire fled. Now they live on the edge of the kingdom, protecting a small nest of lifeseeds to give themself a sense of purpose.

They are hotheaded, practical, and confident, but they consider justice and honor to be above all else. They strive to be a noble knight to honor their lost mentors, and are often training themselves against dangerous foes to ensure they can protect anyone they care for.
