Got picked up by Shadowhunters after it was very clear that he was born with a little bit of the sight. Once he heard he could basically become a super hero he was so excited. Mattias is kind-hearted, sweet, and gets embarrassed/excited easily. He has a very obvious crush on Theron, and wishes very badly for Theron to overcome his issues related to his sexuality. He also wishes for Theron to get over his illfated crush on Dominic, and maybe consider him as a potential partner.

Mattias has a deep love for nerd culture including but not limited to; Pokemon, DnD, Magic the Gathering, etc. Even after learning that he lives in a universe "where all the stories are true" Mattias still holds a deep love for fantasy stories. He thinks that having an escape is one of the best things a person can have (especially if the monsters in those stories are actually real). He often holds dnd nights for him and his friends to play together. He's the dungeon master.
