• He loves picture books because he doesn't read English very well and likes stories he can follow through visuals—lucky for him, the 1960s were jam-packed with picture books 
• He was most likely manufactured sometime in the early 1960s, but why he can walk and talk is anyone's guess … 

• His flat cap is highly preferred and if you don't want to draw it on him, I would love if you could draw it with him somewhere
• His lederhosen are optional unless stated otherwise and can be drawn with his flat cap, too
• He does not have a tail—any drawings of him with a little tail are old and outdated
• There are visible seams on his body, notably down his abdomen and limbs
• A tuft of "fur" (it's mohair) always pokes out from under his hat

Samstag, who prefers to go by Sammie, is a clumsy vintage teddy bear who loves to be around people. Yes, he knows his name is Saturday. Manufactured in Germany sometime in the late 1950s/early 1960s, he's come a long way. He's not the sharpest tool in the shed, but he doesn't really seem to mind that … if he even realizes it. He speaks broken English (don't tell him that) and can often be caught running into things or falling over because he doesn't pay attention to where he's walking. His swivel head spins all the way around—this makes it perfect for him to not look in the direction he's supposed to be looking when he's walking. He's quite a comedian and he doesn't even know it. His hobbies include hanging out with all his friends because he doesn't like to be alone, and bothering Fitzner who likes to be alone. He never goes anywhere without his trusty flat cap and he can't be contained. Wears novelty lederhosen sometimes because he thinks they look good. Hugs confuse him. He's trying his best. Please note that his age is based on the date he was manufactured, not his mental and/or physical age.
