Briar

A former childhood acquaintance of Pongo, Briar was inspired by Pongo’s work as a Protector and was devastated at the news of his death. As Terasyle fell into ruin, they wanted nothing more than to reclaim their home and restore Terasyle, with or without the help of the disbanded Protectors. He earned the title “The Hunter” after actively going out and searching for people to aid his cause, and he rebranded The Regiment as a sign of rebirth and strength. Briar is now the unofficial leader of The Regiment, a responsibility that they acknowledge and handle with the utmost care.

To many who don’t know him personally, Briar is incredibly stoic and cold, lacking emotion whenever possible. He can dish out some witty quips when prompted by other team members, showcasing that he’s got a sense of humor deep down, but he also harbors the fear that showing his true emotions would scare his team. Who would remain hopeful after seeing their leader break down in tears from the stress? They also harbor a deep resentment in the fact that they don’t have any superpowers to speak of, feeling they have to make up for this lack of strength with their intelligence and strategy. To keep these feelings under wraps, most attempts to befriend Briar are met with a one-sided relationship and, most often, stone cold failure.
