Intro

Marlin is the hyperactive store clerk at a small nursery in Solenris. Although he has no expertise in management, logistics, or finance, he's been running his uncle's shop on his own for a while now due to his uncle's frequent absences. He's giving his all every day to live up to the responsibility but ends up spending a lot of that effort covering up his own mistakes.
Although his mother is an adventurer, Marlin has no combat training himself and relies on his fast-made friends to help him out with anything that comes up. He'll solicit advice from just about anyone and is easily impressed.

Story
Marlin works at his uncle Denisc’s nursery, usually as the sole employee, and holds a bit more responsibility than is maybe wise due to his uncle’s frequent absences. His mother Dale is an explorer and his father Lin is a self-proclaimed food critic who works as a chef at a semi-fancy restaurant. His father is even more distractible than he is so his mother holds all the common sense in the family. He's not really qualified to run a shop so many financial and botanical mishaps have been hidden from his uncle, who honestly shouldn't be gone so often anyway.
His parents live close by and he goes over for dinner every so often. They're great because they give him free food but lately he and his father don't see eye to eye. Namely, his dad is obsessed with lobster and is constantly complaining about the lack of lobster in meals while Marlin just wants to eat in peace.

Dalian [dahlia]
A kind baker, she's an older sister figure for the free-roaming Marlin. Sometimes she gives him free food. She's currently his favorite person because of this, and other things of course, so he's growing a lot of dahlias to express his affection. She gives good advice and knows everything.
Kodi [carnation]
A local explorer, he's an acquaintance of Dalian's and a friendly face. Marlin thinks he's cool because he knows weird flowers and also has a dog. He eats a lot, just like Marlin. Sometimes he gets this sad look on his face when he talks about home.
Amelia [anemone]
Kodi's partner and a book-lover. She's alright and she even bought plants off him! What a good person. She's nice and knows lots of things.
Armond [almond]
An acquaintance of Amelia, among other things. He's polite and has cool lights. Marlin really likes his name.
Tiera [cactus]
One of Marlin's infrequent customers. She's always asking questions and buying supplies but never buys any plants. She's really old. Old people are kind of scary.
Haley
One of Marlin's infrequent customers. She's quiet and likes fire and bartering. It's always an adventure when she tries to pay!
