Rintus Velt Fahrice

Rintus is a mint dessert fairy, specializing in refreshing and cool minty goodness. Contrary to Rashelle's mischievous-but-good-natured personality, Rintus is almost the complete opposite, being smiley-but-apathetic at heart. Others, who know, or don't know of their actual personalities, usually wonder how such different fae ended up together, for so long too, considering they've been a couple since their younger teens.
Backstory - Viscount Fahrice & Count Cyrae
Rintus was born to a family of lower nobles, specifically Viscount Fahrice, a hereditary line that was long loyal to Count Cyrae as their close aide. However, after the fall of the Cyrae noble line due to treason, the Fahrices branched towards scholarly achievements to maintain their status.
Backstory - Family
His mother was a coconut dessert fae, whilst his father was mint.
Rintus, as the first son, had great expectations placed upon his shoulders, due to his family’s most recent decline in prominence and wealth. Fortunately, he was quite a prodigal son, regaining prestige for his family, but he had never felt a sense of kinship with the people that worked him to the bone as a child. In their eyes he had only ever seen greed, never love. At a young age, he took charge of his family and became someone they all had to listen to, as such, despite their inner complaints, he was allowed to love Rashelle.
Backstory - Education
Rintus had a private tutor during his younger childhood, carefully chosen by his parents. He was a very strict old lemon fae that made him study for hours on end and set no less homework. Alongside the assignments personally set by his parents, Rintus had a very grey life of just studying, even beginning his combat training earlier than others. He was easily accepted into Apiar due to his status and skills, and went on to attend Elgara with Rashelle after some deliberation.
Backstory - Career
Rintus has been trained to become the next Viscount Fahrice since birth, and continues on this path despite not being fond of the family that forced him to be this way. He seeks to enter the ministry of finance, acquire merits and potentially reclaim some land to rule over as a fiefdom with Rashelle.
Rashelle & Rintus
First Meeting
Rashelle met Rintus for the first time when she was 10 and he was 11. She found him after he had dismissed the guards/maids seeking solitude and rest, and she had accidentally stumbled into his garden searching for the library.
“Oh, I’m sorry for waking you. Do you know how to get to the library?”
Since Rintus had only ever properly other noble children introduced to him by his parents, he was curious about this new child who had stumbled in.
“...Why do you want to go to the library?”
“I want to learn about why my parents don’t earn much money even though our cafe is so popular.”
“...Aren’t your parents probably being scammed or something then?”
“Scammed huh… I think I remember hearing that word somewhere. I’ll go look it up, thanks uh... what’s your name?”
“Rintus.”
“Nice to meet you Rintus, I’m Rashelle. I’ll come visit again!”
Rintus went on to everyday, around the same time, dismiss his guards/maids and wait by the same area in case she returned. Three days later, he met her again, with her hands filled with chocolate treats that she gave him in return. She was currently looking at business books in her spare time with determination and thanked him again because she thought his words might actually be true.
Early Stages
He found out about the world through Rashelle, and Rashelle learnt about Rintus’s status and dull life. They were friends, but Rintus mainly thought her a curious commoner and Rashelle thought him a pitiful noble child. Over time, however, they began to confide each other more about their troubles due to the way they met(Rashelle’s parents exploitation library trip and Rintus being stressed and napping).
Middle School
During middle school, they developed more of a friendly rivalry due to their trust in each other, competing over combat and grades. They continued to confide in each other and due to their frequent close contact, love bloomed between them, with Rintus falling first. As his feelings were made known to her with his advances, Rashelle slowly fell for him too. Their relationship finally blossomed and became official as they graduated from Apiar, with Rintus gifting her a bouquet of purple and silver roses that resembled their eye colours, with a promise ring of the same colours being hidden in the central rose.
