About
Among the people in his company, the least is known about the secretive lieutenant. It's common knowledge that he's one of few people to be freed of possession by the militia, but his life before that is a complete mystery. He feels spite toward the demons and seems to offhandedly believe that they don’t have feelings the same way people do. As a result he comes off as incredibly uncaring and callous when discussing the revolutionary efforts. He avoids talking about his life before the portal was opened, and prefers to lean into topics about what happens next.
Because of his bull-headedness, the lietenant doesn't spend much time in any of the main civilian bases. He often volunteers to be positioned at more risky positions for long periods of time. Some who worked with him on the front lines report that he seems to be looking for someone among the ranks of the opposing demons. Also important to note is his loyalty to the coven that freed him, and how he always makes room in his bag for materials known to work in a specific type of exorcism. The cases where they would come in handy are so rare, some have begun to speculate that he already had a demon in mind for them.

David lost the end of his childhood and the beginning of his adulthood to a forceful possession that made him lose all control of his senses and awareness of the world around him. This event was highly traumatic and left him with intense facial scarring from the incident. The demon that possessed him managed to escape the exorcism, tracked down his older sister, and is now using her as a host instead, seemingly to taunt him, which has done nothing to calm his hatred.
Looking back on who he was before this event, David considers himself to be clueless, but still understands that his foolishness did not mean he was deserving of what happened. Even still, he finds that he lacks a sense of belonging with things and people he once loved. He lost something in the incident that he can enever get back.

Cold Weather Originally from Glaciunus, Solokov never grew out of enjoying the cold. Especially as a bigger guy with magic based in energy, he always enjoys an opportunity to cool off.
Mysteries He enjoys puzzles, finding them to be a good way to stay diligent and keep wits sharp. A mystery, to him, is just a larger puzzle.
Respect He openly enjoys the power he holds over other members of the militia and outsiders, even if he scarcely uses it. He likes knowing that others listen to him because of a reputation he's earned.
Engineering Before the rift opened, Solokov planned on becoming an engineer, inspired by the practical innovation it could bring. He still tries to find opportunties to rebuild the broken world around him, though part of him sees it as hopeless.
Dislikes
Isolation Though he doesn't like to admit it, he doesn't like to be alone. In the same sense that he won't admit it, he won't admit why either. The mixed signals means he tends to end up alone anyways.
Chaos Having PSTD from his final memories before he was possessed, hectic and loud situations stress him out and makes him feel unsafe. He prefers to avoid parties as well, anything where people are a little too close.
Blatant Lies No matter how light, he feels lies are a sign of distrust and takes it as disrespect. He will always be more kind toward honesty.
Sacrifices Too much has been lost already. No reason to lose more.
- David Solokov was possessed as a teenager and was freed ten years later, meaning he lost the last years of his childhood.
- While he knows that he has family out in the world, specifically his parents, he refuses to contact them until he can see them in person, scared the letter will be intercepted.
- When he was younger, he would change how he acted to fit the people around him. Now, he insists upon exerting a feeling of strength, with no other real personality being able to shine through...
- He still sometimes slips into his old camoflague habit when work requires it, though. He's only truly as honorable as the highest ranked person next to him.
- He is willing to work with demons, but he struggles to see them as anything more than soldiers and invaders. Their humanity is completely lost on him.

Strengths
Physical Strength In the ten years he's had since being freed from possession, he began working out to feel more connected to his own body, which has had other benefits... Specifically all the muscles.
Strategy Aware of the worst case scenario and cautious, Solokov is careful to plan out every action he does in advance, well aware of all the lives at stake. He's constantly alert of other people's actions, choices, and abilities so he can plan around them in the worst-case scenario. He feels safest when he's convinced he could take everyone around him at once in a fight.
General Intelligence Despite missing a few years of education, he caught up quick and helps with aspects of the militia effort that include general knowledge in specific categories.
Resiliance He refuses to go down until he physically can not stand anymore, making him terrifying to spar with.
Flaws
Unshielded Despite his plans to protect himself and others, he's decided that a good offense is better than a good defense, leaving himself generally undefended.
Improvisation When outside of any of his many previously-made plan, Solokov has to rely on anothr person or he'll turn to violence.
Magically Maliable Due to ten years of possession, outside of extrernal protections, Solokov is incredibly weak to any form of using magic to invade the mind. He wears multiple charms to defend himself.
Untrusting One of these days, it'll shoot him in the foot. For now, he's essentially friendless.

Notes
- He actually has a soft spot and a lovely smile, though he tries not to get too attached to others and doesn't show it often.
- Like most people who were possessed long-term, he has jagged scars following blood vessels around his eyes.
- When he uses his magic, his scars glow with electricity, and he should not be touched when channeling it.
- He likes to look tidy but struggles to come off as professional.

Early Life
David was born in Glaciunus during the civil war, but because of pressures being put onto his family, they left while he was still very young. He doesn't remember his home country very much, but he values what memories he has and loves hearing stories from his parents. It's more like a fairytale than a reality to him.
He was a happy and very socially aware child, intentionally changing aspects of himself in order to get along better with others. This continued into high school, where one of his closest friends would frequently lecture him for holding himself back.
