About

Kaito is known for his playful and extroverted personality. He's very friendly and receptive towards his family, neighbors and colleagues, and loves to spend time with the younger kids in his neighborhood. He gives off an image of a 'mischievous little brother' to the adults, while the youngsters see him as a 'cool older brother'. He's very respectful and compassionate towards elders/seniors due to his Filipino upbringing, but has a tendency to play small pranks on them or tease them a little. He loves to have fun, either through online gaming or being physically active, and is always open to some kind of competition. Despited his light-heartedness, he's actually very responsible and would always see things to the end.

Kaito does have a hidden cynical side. As a 'people person', he learned how to read the underlying intentions of others and see through their 'fakeness'. He finds it funny how easy it is to deceive people with insincere words and materialism. He also hates the empty promises and ambiguous restrictions that the government, especially the hero network, gives to society. This, together with his dislike for the hero ranking system and the villain uprising in Japan, led to his nightly vigilante activities.

Vigilante Alias: Chase

Chase refers to the speed and mobility that he gains from his quirk, which allows him to give off the fitting message of 'catch me if you can'

Kaito has the ability to produce pixelated 3D shapes that he can control at will. He can create basic shapes like cubes, cones, spheres and prisms, and adjust their size however he wants. He can move them freely or lock them in place, but the speed in which they travel is inversely proportional to their size. The pixels can be used as projectiles, defensive barriers, or as a means of transportation. Upon impact, the pixels can shatter when the opposing force is much greater. They will keep their form unless de-summoned by Kaito, destroyed by impact, or the mental connection is lost (ex. goes too far from Kaito, or he loses consciousness). 

Currently, Kaito can manipulate a maximum of 8 shapes simultaneously. The more he summons at the same time, the harder it is to fine-tune each pixel's movements since his concentration is further split. He can expand or shrink a pixel however many times he wants, but cannot alter their original structure (ie. cannot convert a cube to a sphere).

quirk drawbacks

Kaito's quirk is very energy-demanding, so he naturally has a big appetite. 

He summons the pixels from his hands, so his hands have to be free and unrestricted to activate his quirk. The pixels are also susceptible to 'glitching' or partial or complete dissociation due to high frequency sounds and vibrations.      

Relationships

Chohime [ colleague ]

Kaito was once caught by Chohime when he was in action as a vigilante. Instead of turning him in to the police, she offered him a pseudo-job as one of her contacts and lookout. They've been 'allies' and friends ever since. 

Hawks  [ friend ]

Kaito was introduced to Hawks by Chohime. Their boisterous personalities and hidden cynicism allowed them to become fast friends. Some of their hangouts include making fun of the hero ranking system and eating yakitori.
