Background

The best way to describe Maurice’s current life situation is stressful. A few months ago, he and his brothers Gray and Anthony left home to get away from their dad, and live in their own place. Being the oldest, and the only adult of the trio, he’s taken on several burdens. Adulting, caring for his brothers, and being their only source of income. He even dropped out of college so he could shift focus onto his new life situation. All of this has left Maurice stressed out of his mind. And with the giant nuisance that is the new vampire in town, and harassment from a group dubbed “The Hunters”, they aren’t really helping his situation…

Personality

Maurice, first and foremost, prioritizes the well-being of his brothers above his own. He immensely cares for those he considers family. In the process of such, he tends to sacrifice his own well-being, whether it be intentional or accidental. Whenever faced with conflict, he tends to stand his ground and take the abuse or walk away. He personally struggles with fighting back. Maurice knows full-well he is wholly capable of pummeling anyone, but… he just can’t bring himself to fight back. Maurice has grown to have a bad habit of ignoring and pushing aside his own feelings. Alongside that, he struggles with low self-esteem and doesn’t think too highly of himself. He really tries his hardest to be a positive figure and influence for his brothers, but the stress of life is really starting to get to him, and he isn’t sure how much longer he’ll be able to keep up the act…

Abilities

As a werewolf, he has heightened hearing and smell, and transforms into a wolf-like form during the full moon. He has exceptional physical strength. Adding together his muscle and height, in a fight he is essentially a brick wall, especially in wolf form. With his incredible strength, Maurice doesn’t need to exert much to overpower most other people. That is, however, if he had the willpower to stand up against others.

Trivia

• Maurice is the tallest werewolf overall, both in human form (6’4) and wolf form (7’4).
• Maurice is very bad with math. He frequently counts with his fingers and double-checks his counting.
• If asked about his least favorite president, Maurice, without hesitation, would answer Ronald Reagan.
• Anytime he and his brothers are caught in a confrontation, Maurice will put himself in front of them and make himself a wall.
• Checking all three criteria of being kind, beefy, and stupid, Maurice qualifies as a himbo.
• Maurice works at a local grocery store. He mainly deals with stocking, and is often relied on as the heavy lifter.

Relationships

Anthony [ Younger Brother ]

Maurice understands that Anthony is being a difficult teenager, but there’s something more to it. It feels like Anthony is outright rejecting him. He’s become very closed off, distant, and even hostile towards him ever since they moved out. This really upsets Maurice, he just wants Anthony to open up and for them to be friends again.

Gray [ Youngest Brother ]

Admittedly, Maurice is very protective of Gray, being his youngest brother and having a 6-year age gap. Gray is at least a little more open with his feelings than Anthony is, and Maurice greatly appreciates that. They’re a bright kid with great potential, and Maurice wants to see them succeed. He supports and encourages them the best he can, and hopes for them to have a brighter future than he did.

Autumn [ The New Girl ]

Who is this lost child? Maurice admittedly doesn’t know much about Autumn, as they only recently met. He isn’t sure how exactly, but she seems a little lost. He’d gladly give her guidance if she asks for any.

Danny [ Troublesome Newcomer ]

This guy… Danny’s bombastic personality and chaotic nature adds a whole ‘nother layer of stress that he really does not need in his life right now. Though, he is another adult figure… sorta… Maybe him being around isn’t all bad. Perhaps he’ll have a moment of usefulness.

Kyle [ Who??? ]

What does this guy even want? Who even is he? This guy seems to be throwing accusations at him because he’s the "son of the infamous werewolf of Lakewood…" Maurice just wants him and his buddies to leave him and his family alone.

Ruth [ Mother ]

He misses her, a lot. She was the anchor that got him through so many horrors in that household, and eventually helped him get out. She was so strong and put herself through so much, just for the sake of him and his brothers. He wanted her to come along when he and his brothers left home, but she insisted on staying behind, something about "dealing with dad…" He questions if he made the right decision, and hopes she’s doing alright… He desperately hopes he can see his mom again one day.

Maurice never wants to speak to him, or of him. He wants to bury his memories of him deep away, but he can’t quite shake them. He never wants him to be able to hurt his brothers the way he did to him. Maurice wants him to stay far, far away from him and his brothers, and stay out of their lives moving forward. He never wants to see him again.
