An au set in venula's alien world of Ikosa! Somewhat of a retelling/translation of the original story through a different lens :)

Being raised in an emotionally distant and strict environment has left this version of hunter a much less well adjusted individual. She loathes authority but finds herself forced to bend to it, knowing no other feasible alternative and not wishing to lose her station in life and what autonomy her occupation affords her. She has frustration and anger bubbling beneath the surface in ways atypical for the character as a result of her stifled wants, this is unfortunately ideal for her higher ups who use her as an attack dog against whoever they deem fit for destruction. She is very quick to fight and wont back down once engaged in carnage as its one of the few releases she has for a lifetime of suffocating adherence.
Socially she struggles a bit but due to her status and reputation she is left alone for the most part, for better and worse. She tends to be hard to read to other ikosans due to her stiff body language, she doesnt emote with her ears and scent signals are the most reliable judge of her status, but can be in conflict with the rest of her demeanor throwing others off. She doesnt spend social time with others and dislikes allogrooming giving her a distant relationship even with her fellow soldiers. When she does socialize, it tends to be with laborers which can be offputting for the laborers (though not all of them).
