Joseph and Lacey Elton [ Parents ]
Seraphina's relationship with her parents is complicated. On one hand she loves them with all her heart, but she also wishes to be freed of them. Joseph and Lacey are the rulers of Elysviel and struggled with fertility problems before Seraphina was conceived, as a result they are incredibly overprotective and always expect the best of her. This had caused Seraphina to become socially awkward and overcompensating. When a chance to step out of the castle arrived in the form of an invitation to Aurora University, Seraphina took it in order to experience the world on her own for once.
Fraisie St. Honoré [ Best Friend ]
A cheerful yet clumsy girl who smells like strawberry pastries. She met Fraisiel on their first day at the University of Aurora, both having lost their way trying to find the auditorium. The girls hit it off after intruducing each other, Seraphina was relieved at finally finding someone from Elysviel who didn't immediately bow down at the sound of her name. Their pleasant conversation was cut short when Seraphina's personal butler, Leon, showed up to escort her to the ceremony; Fraisiel then fled out of no where suddenly. After tracking Fraisiel down for 3 days, Seraphina finally confronted her in the hallway of the dorm. A friendship developed after the girls sorted out their problems.
Ophelia [ Friend ]
3 weeks into the start of the semester, a new transfer student arrives. A rumour was going around that the new student was a witch; which Seraphina paid no heed. She wasn't in her classes after all. On the day of the club fair, Fraisiel and Seraphina spots an unfamiliar face--the new transfer student who was now the face of the gardening club. The idea of gardening wasn't something Seraphina was familiar with, but she was willing to try given her love of flowers. On the first day, Fraisiel and Seraphina drops nearly all the pots between their combined clumsiness, in which Opelia--the saint--casually shrugged off. The next few gardening sessions would mark the beginning of their friendship.
Serryn von Libelle [ Friend ]
The 2 met near the beginning of a politics class they shared, where they were assigned to the same group for class discussion. Seraphina, owed to her lack of confidence around boys, was unable to communicate effectively or look him in the eye. Serryn was alarmed by this behavior, and had asked her if she was feeling well; leaning in to take a closer look. This action startled Seraphina, who screamed and fell back, hitting her head on the table in the process and getting knocked out. Serryn later takes her to the infirmary at the request of the professor.
Seraphina did not regain consciousness until after the school day was over. Mortified that she had embarrassed herself infront of the entire class; she sulked the rest of the week until the next session. Returning to the class, Seraphina kept herself lied low, afraid someone might recognize her and the stunt she pulled last week. Her ploy to remain hidden was foiled by Serryn, who came up to ask her about her condition. Through stuttering and nervous breathes, Seraphina replied that she was fine; which Serryn did not believe one bit. Nevertheless, the latter apologized for making her feel nervous. Later, he would offer to review last week's material with her another time, which Seraphina would accept.
Iris Elton [ Cousin/Older Sister Figure ]
Seraphina's cousin and playmate growing up, and the subject of her envy. Iris was a child prodigy famous throughout Elysviel for her beauty, talent, and kindness. Seraphina and Iris were close during childhood; but as they aged, Seraphina began to feel inadequate compared to her much more talented cousin while Iris became busier with her work in the military. They still occasionally hang out as Iris visits her in University and teaches her various things.
Elliot Blanc [ Friend ]
Elliot was introduced to Seraphina through Serryn, who was his best friend. They grew closer gradually as time progressed. Although Elliot was quite stand-offish at first towards anyone other than Serryn, Seraphina greatly admires him for his intelligence and strength. She would ask him for help regarding schoolwork and they could often be found studying together.
Cordelia von Muireann [ Friend ]
A hyperactive girl with an explosive temper. Cordelia entered Seraphina's life with as much flare as her personality; having drop kicked Elliot into oblivion after the latter stole her diary, and then promptly introduced herself as if nothing happened. Cordelia shares Seraphina's love for makeup and fashion, and having knowledge on all of the latest trends and looks, Cordelia would often serve as the go-to makeup artist and styler of the group. Although Seraphina sometimes find her loud outbursts and violent tendencies overwhelming, she sees her as a great friend overall.
Siegfried Klein [ Acquaintance ]
Iris' childhood friend who would sometimes visit the castle alongside her cousin. The 2 get along well generally and he would often act as a big brother to her. She knows of his love for Iris and was rooting for them to get together, although Fraisiel's emerging feelings for Siegfried complicates this somewhat.
