Sam Fort has spent most of her life feeling socially rejected by her peers. Despite her attempts to be part of a crowd, be it school events, work gatherings, BBQs, parties, weddings, or going to bars, at the end of it all, she never came back with anything more than she started with. Herself. Nobody dislikes her, but she comes off as a rather bland individual. Nothing to write home about. Nothing to bring along the next day. People know about her, but no one knows her. What they do know is that she's Klydes younger sister. Sam is harmless. She's quiet. And she knows that. Standing in her older brother's shadow, trying to gain that spot light all through middle and high school. But as she got older, she started to accept the mentality that nobody really has any interest in her, neither Romantic nor Platonically. She didn't mind however. Most of her time was spent with her brother, Klyde, whom the 2 used to be inseparable when they were kids. Even as teens and into adulthood. Klyde still likes to include Sam in his life. Even to have her live with Him and Lianna.
A young single bachelorette trying to work towards a degree in child psychology, Sam spends her time in one of 2 places. The university or at home in her room. Any other place is mostly because her brother and his soon-to-be-fiance drag her out of the house. Nothing much happens during her studies but when she is at home alone, she can be commonly found toking it up in her room or hotboxing her car. Her known common interests are getting high and collecting bongs. But Sam also likes to go collect books and other objects with a historical presence or evidence to society centuries ago during the _Outbreak_ or those rumored to talk about another world before the Atomies. Her favorite "artifacts" include those which mention ancient holidays where people used to dress to beg for sweets or hide eggs in exchange for said sweets. Mostly holidays related to sweets.
Sam, today, is currently in relationship with Denien. However, it wasn’t one where she expected to find herself in. Despite her previous experiences with people, Sam has never seen herself as one to be attracted to the same sex. Nothing wrong with it, however, it’s not something she really thought herself as gay. It took some convincing but eventually Denien was able to convince Sam that someone was romantically interested in her. Sam was happy with that for a while. Enjoying the fact that someone actually wanted to see her and get to know her as well as to happen to have similar interests as her. The “physical benefits” of being in this relationship took a while to get used to for Sam but it didn’t take long until she became simply ok with it. There are some days where Sam begins to question herself in the relationship, if it’s something she really wants. She doesn’t have any conflict with Denien but she can’t help but think this isn’t right for her. However, she regrets having those thoughts mostly due to the fear that if she acted upon them, she’ll lose the only person who’s ever shown to want any involvement with her outside of her own family. For now, she learned to cope with it with temporary mind-altering drugs. (note: she doesn't do this very often)
Sam's views of her world aren’t very sheltered. Due to her passion on historical objects and when her face isn’t buried in her studies, Sam has also taken it upon herself to keep up with current events. Looking into other cities and the involvement of the Atomie movements in other areas, she protests her views to the rest of the world via internet forums and angry anonymous letters at her Universities public bullet boards. Sam doesn’t actually know any Atomies, especially since the city she resides in, Gin Din, is a neutral-Atomie(“Neutratomie”) State with no Atomies, so when she is argued with, her arguments generally fall flat. This kinda changes later on when her Girlfriends Brother comes into the picture along with his Atomie Friend. Nonetheless, Sam enjoys voicing her thoughts on these subject matters, such as the Pro-Atomie and Anti Atomies states and their conditions, during dinner time and other meal times.
