non-clan cats
Living outside of a clan is challenging and usually solitary. There are groups of cats that don't follow the clan lifestyle, but most of these collapse within a few generations.
Runaways and exiles often have trouble adapting to solitary lifestyles.
There are inevitably rogues who try their luck against the clans.
Life on your own is tough and bleak. Without the protection and resources of a clan, loners seldom survive past a hundred moons.
The Shiny Ones are the largest non-clan faction in existence, rivaling the clans in terms of population. They live in a Twolegplace ruins called the Stonelands. They are notable for using currency; they use jewels as coins, though they primarily barter and trade.
They are much feared by rogues and loners for their ruthlessness, avarice, and deep knowledge of the sprawling Stonelands. However, they are renowned for their dedication to upholding promises. They become intimidated and overwhelmed when faced with environments outside of the Stonelands.
The Shiny Ones have hard calluses on their pawpads due to walking on asphalt. They often have scars, are adept at jumping, and enjoy adorning themselves with accessories.
FogClan is located in the northern Foglands, perpetually shrouded in fog and rife with supernatural events. They dwell in an area called the Deepest Woods, a labyrinthine forest that swallows cats whole.
Despite being called a clan, FogClan resembles one only in name.
Though the clan used to be bloodthirsty, it has become more diplomatic with time. Its members have some skill with spells and rituals. They have little respect for StarClan because the stars don't often shine in their territory.
In the Foglands, polyamory is the norm, and many cats may lack names. FogClan cats do receive names, though they may have multiple of them.
The Starfallers aren't an organized group. They are cats who follow the same religion, sometimes referred to as the "Starfall".
In reality, they are rogues who worship spirits from the Dark Forest. Their existence is unknown to most clan cats.
The Starfallers are highly secretive about their beliefs. They appear to be normal loners, albeit with an unusual amount of confidence and battle training. They communicate with each other from afar through their dreams or by using secret rituals. They have a lot of patience and may sometimes infiltrate other groups or clans.
They have devised several rituals, some of which summon Dark Forest spirits to the world of the living. They use these to obtain boons from the dead.
