Hiya! If I may ask, I’m trying to make a folder for my own OC’s and I gotta know. How’d you add an image to the description of the CountryDogs folder?
When you see the folder description text box, make sure WYSIWYG is enabled. You'll know its on when you see all the text options like the bold, italics, and underline thingies above it. Click the "insert image" thingy and you'll have to insert the image link. You can send the pic to yourself through discord then open it in a new tab to copy the address. Or what I did was upload the image to sta.sh (if you have deviantart) and right click to copy the image address. Either works. Hope this helps! I'm not very good at describing things pfff

Did you change the paw style for the countries? I saw some of your recent posts on your characters, and there were 5 fingers instead of 4. Or do some countries have extra fingers lmao - If you want I could redo some of my art so they can have 5 fingers
Oh! You don’t have to redo anything, it’s more of a stylistic change. My art style leans more toward realistic anatomy so the 4 fingers didn’t really work anymore so now I do five fingers hehe. But yeah draw them with how many fingers you want I’m not picky about that

just a small question. i noticed that south and north Korea was fighting in the & animation with the cold war. but that means they would have had to be born in Korea / during the times Korea existed. how does that work?
also it makes sense the USSR was not a country dog as it was made up of multiple countries which brings another conflict concerning this and america (even though i know you most likely will not be animating/posting these anytime soon
cannon or non-cannon how would you make the republic of texas, and the confederate states of America fit into country dogs.
Country Dogs follows a present day rule- Meaning that their universe is based on the present day so everything in history works out to abide by present countries and borders. If that makes any sense… So SK and NK were born around the same time and represented Korea as a whole until the split- with SK taking more influence from the south and NK duh taking more influence from the north.
I’d probably make a Texas a blue lacy since it’s the state dog- I wouldn’t go full stereotype with the outfit tho so no cowboy outfit smh. Not sure about personality- it’s been a while since I thought about texas. I’m not gonna entertain the idea of a CSA, sorry.

5- Who is the youngest country? From your comics I seen that the countries seem to grow, and other countries are older than another.

8- Weird question but, does Germany ever go up to a random country taller than him and say something like: “I’m taller than you ding dong“ And watch their reaction. Since he does have long ears.

10- While interacting with other countries, does Russia ever have to look down/bend to talk to the shorter countries?

i think height is relitive to the countries size. i know for sure russia is the tallest due to the side by side "mug shot" gatsby did
I assumed that, seeing that USA is 3rd tallest, and Irl they are the third largest country. And Canada is second largest, Russia is largest country. probably so but most world maps I see leave out some countries.
Yeah and , but the thing is I’m not interested in who’s taller, I wanna know how tall they actually are. I searched up if Kazakhstan was a larger country than Turkey, which they are. But on the “mug shot” it looks like they’re the same height?? Another weird thing is that Ukraine seems taller than Canada and the US, despite being only 5’11”. Either a mistake or Chef did that on purpose-

6- Russia just sucks. Constantly screwed over Ukraine, especially during the USSR. Ukraine was never one to kiss Russia’s ass, he’s not afraid to stand up for himself so he just cut off all contact with Russia. Russia was just way too untrustworthy, emotional, and a drama queen, and Ukraine just wants to move on and be happy for once.

8- Yes 😭 Germany always gets put right back in his place though. They’ll squish his ears down
9- He has an incel spine. He cannot stand up straight- years of being shy and looking at the ground fucked up his back.

11- Russia doesn’t mind him too much. He isn’t too attached to him tho compared to how NK feels about him. Russia doesn’t ignore him though but he doesn’t go out of his way to talk about him. Russia loves being obsessed over so when they are together he just lets NK do his thing.
12- Americas always been kinda chubby but yeah.. He was a trouble maker as a kid, just really annoying and threw tantrums a lot. He was a food motivated dog though so england would just feed him pie to shut him up or make him listen. Of course it didn’t solve the behavior issues and caused a weight problem.

14- All of them do all the time. Sweden gets mocked for going soft after being a ruthless viking, germany gets mocked for losing both world wars and being incredibly cocky in the past. They just always bring up past memories of each other that seems out of character now.
15- Not sure 😭 still tryna figure it out but I got a few ideas.
16- Yes. Always. Nobody even flinches anymore, germany screams are just a daily occurrence.
17- I do plan on adding more countries but I’ve hit a wall with some. There’s absolutely no dog breeds that originate in central america- So I don’t really know what to do with them. Same with Africa- but I don’t think I can personify them anyway since the whole forced borders situation.
18- I don’t think they mind each other that much. They’re capable of getting along
19- Yes and yes.. His poor tail. He gets back at whoever stepped on it though. By immediately throwing hands…
20- It’s just a floppy ear there’s no deeper meaning to it. Just a design choice. I thought it made him look more fun and matched his personality.

Height: Russia and Canada are the tallest since they are ridiculously big countries but after that it gets sporadic. (Irl america is not the 3rd largest country. China is) Countries are loosely based off their country size but sometimes their breed size can override that. Like mexico is a rather big country but he’s short since it’s iconic for chihauhaus to be very small. Ukraine was original around the same height as canada- as seen in the height chart- however after writing his bio and discussing it with the discord, I changed his height to 5’11” since we felt that over 6ft was too big for him. I originally wanted him that big since Ukraine is the biggest country in Europe (not including russia) But yeah- the height charts are pretty old so some things have changed throughout the years.
Another question that I forgot to type in lol sorry for spamming notifications-
1- For the countries, do dogs or people live in their “land” Because I inspected your Tetris pmv and never found another dog other than the countries. And if dogs do live in a country’s land, are they the same species or different species from the land or other dog species from other countries? This sounds confusing sorry-
2- How long did it take for you to master drawing furries? I drawn since I was 2 and still haven’t gotten a detailed style.

1- Dogs do live in their countries. The "landlord" and "taxman" as well as the dogs russia is standing in line for bread with were just normal dogs in the tetris pmv- i didnt give them that much detail tho cuz haha lazy design and I didnt want them to be the focus of the shot. But yeah, we also got the various dogs that work at the meeting building but they havent been introduced yet. I'll probably add some randoms in the bg of comics to make their world feel more- full? or lived in I guess. Also the normal dogs can be the same breed as the country dog but theres usually a mix. They aren't clones
2- Ive been drawing furries for 3 years now I think? maybe 4? But I've been drawing since I was 12 i think. Furries hard to draw sigh. I still cant get their damn snouts right. But yeah, dont worry too much about style, surround yourself with inspo and references, keep practicing and it'll happen eventually. Ik its generic ass advice but everyone says it because thats what works

1- There definitely wasn’t a confederate dog, CD doesn’t work like that. I honestly don’t think he was too involved in the actual war- civil wars in CD are complicated. Most of the time it doesn’t have anything to do with the personification they just have to sit back and watch. It’s a stressful time for them.
2- If you go to the TH forums (HTML/CSS and Graphics) there are users that provide free and pay to use HTML codes. I use the “wiki profile” one from here. People who make these usually give a tutorial on how to use them but it’s just some copy and pasting so pretty easy. Hope that helps!

1) America was paranoid af as a child when it came to demons and witchcraft and it probably stemmed from the witch trials. So he believed it and was terrified even if it was proven to not be true. I don't think he contributed to the fingerpointing or anything else though. Just a terrified bystander.
2) She can put her hair/ears up if she wanted to but she usually doesn't
3) Damn why you gotta do Germany like that? smh. I guess that technically does make big ears his stepfather but I don't think anyone sees it like that in their world. idk family in CD is weird
4) Belarus is pretty quiet, she has a cold exterior and is a "tough love" sort of person. She looked up to Russia for a long while so shes similar to him in a way. I've been meaning to add her to TH I cri i keep slacking! And yeah borzois ears are wack they're just like that.
5) Poland actually didn't get his scar in ww2, I haven't pinpointed exactly what or when it happened but it was either during the third partition of Poland or sometime during its disappearance making either Russia, Germany, or Austria the culprits(and prussia if I decide to keep him)
6) Russia got the scar on his snout when he was young from Mongolia. She shot him with an arrow. His other scars I have some ideas but haven't figured out exactly what happened yet.
7) He gets along with China though they probably don't talk as friends that much, more like coworkers that like each other. He doesn't have any other friends he rarely leaves his country or talks with others.
8) Scotland, Ireland, and England all don't like each other however Scotland gets along better with Ireland since they share a love of bullying England
9) He fluffy and he chub
10) They probably chat often online but not much irl
11) YES!! Englands used to it but still gets mad about it and tries to lecture him, everyone else in his family doesn't care
12) Germany and Russia were never dating. Russia falls in love with everyone so I wouldn't put it past him to catch feelings at some point but it never went further than that. If Russia did like him the betrayal wiped away those feelings for good
