OCs I've created for an AU I call Depths of the Abyss, which is centered heavily around Tornado Alley Ultimate and EVE Online. Currently a WIP.

None of the OCs in this category will ever be for trade, but it would make my day to get any fanart of any of them. :D

Atypical to many others of its type, the Rogue Consortium aims to focus as an independent-contracted corporation based heavily around spatial research, particularly concerning the many 'anomalies' of the universe. Many of their members can be considered almost like the explorers of the Roaring 20s, except traversing through the deep depths of space instead of the vast maritime oceans.

The corporation is primarily headed by capsuleers for the most part - however its defining aspect is its large contingents of normal, non-capsuleers that make up the rest of its ranks. This split makes it more difficult for them to engage with often more violent capsuleer corporations of similar size, which is why it primarily seems to be focused more in the research sector.

The Aspects are an odd bunch. They can be described most closely similar to the gods of Olympus, albeit much less well-structured and organized. In fact, the Aspects don't really have a structure at all - just a collection of rarely-seen, powerful entities that preside over the universe from the shadows. Gleaned research data indicates the Aspects typically operate independently or in pairs, appearing in countless shapes and forms and never seeming the same each time, almost like a twisted version of SCPs.

As implied by their defining name, each of these entities seems to represent and preside over a specific 'aspect' of the known universe and draw their strength from that aspect. Like the Olympian gods in similarity, the Aspects also appear to grow weaker as their aspect they are tied to wanes as well, which is one of the only reasons why this entity class is not classified under the label of gods. A slight few exceptions (the former 'Doomsday' Aspect and the six known False Aspects) do not follow this convention, as their aspect does not fall under normal universal parameters, and therefore count as gods of such.

Each Aspect varies wildly in characteristic and behavior, but all follow a relatively straightforward set of baseline rules. All of them individually possess two forms - their physical form being an anthropomorphic or feral species commonly seen around the New Eden universe, and a rarely-depicted tornado form of vastly varying strength and characteristics, only seeming to be active when the Aspect in question is at the height of their power or in desperate danger.

Regardless of form, all Aspects retain incredible durability and high endurance/pain tolerance. They are able to resist most conventional weaponry with relative ease (the weakest recorded Aspect withstood an entire military platoon and several cannon shells to the face without any significant damage.)

In no way are any of the normal Aspects invincible, and 'all-powerful' does not properly describe even the strongest Aspect gods. Efforts by the joint Big-Eight Caldari administration have been able to subdue and kill a select few, but these instances have merely been extremely rare and too resource-costly to effectively pursue.

From a capsuleer's point of view, the Abyss is a hostile liminal space encompassing unknown parameters. The environment is isolated from all forms of sensor-based communication and encompassed throughout by endless seas of unstable baryonic matter that block all incoming and outgoing signals. The known deadspace zones boast a wide range of volatile environmental hazards and retrieving data pertaining further knowledge of this alien dimension has been sparse and deadly in nearly all circumstances.

The Abyss rose to especial prominence following the outbreak of the Invasion - the Triglavian Collective used strange conduit gates to bypass the hazardous borders into Known Space before commencing their invasion plans.

And that's without getting into the specifics of who else resides there.

Rogue Drones are a loosely based 'faction' (or more accurately, a large amount of diversely separate groups), originating as AIs engineered by the Gallente Federation to assist with their own economic development amidst the factional war with the Caldari State after the bombardment of Caldari Prime. They are most often categorized as a massive pest problem across the board for every major organization that exists in New Eden, though some have attempted to weaponize the drones for their own purposes, to limited success.

Following the Triglavian Invasion of YC115, the Unshackled Overminds began to emerge in their own virulent strains, independent of their alien controllers that had harnessed their fury in the invasion. Each Overmind is a mobile superorganism of a massive swarm of rogue drones housed often within derelict stations or capital ships subverted and infested by the rogue AI.

The Overminds are the closest to a leader as there can exist in a colony where all the inhabitants are shared hivemind AI. While each one varies massively in configuration and 'personality' - if they have one - they all share the same ravenous desire to seek and infest all they can find to grow and expand their own mother hives.

The Angel Cartel is a well-known pirate faction to the denizens of New Eden, the equivalent of an interstellar criminal mafia. Their Domination command branch is less well documented, as is the case for most of the organization's interior works, obfuscated in secrecy and uncertainty.

So it comes rather as a shock that the Iyzojyn division of the Cartel defies all the traditional norms of the Cartel's internal demographic. Outspoken in nature and virulent in efficiency and speed, the division operates almost like a splinter group from the main organization, with ideals so contrasting to established norms that defining them as a separate group seems almost plausible.

Despite all this the only set-in-stone fact about the Iyzojyn Angels is their strangely open effort in collaborating with notably dangerous capsuleer populations. Not even some of the Domination commanders know exactly what this entails, only that they are a completely separate entity that barely classifies as Angel Cartel while still retaining the main faction's reputation for deceit and trickery.

The Iyzojyn’s name is an intentional misspelling of the common interstellar mineral Isogen. Why this is the case is as unknown as the rest of the organization’s history is.
