Any Unreal Engine Programmer?

Posted 1 month, 16 days ago by FrossetHjerte

Hey guys,

Sorry that I've been so quiet. I am in the last months before my graduation and you can imagine all my time is swallowed by that, my thesis, and commissions, haha.

But you see, I have this wee trouble; my programming teacher is answering very slowly (taking days) and when I am lucky enough to receive an answer, sometimes is just an "hmm odd" and then waiting for hours, and days again to receive a somehow decent answer. The thing is, if things keep going like things, I won't have enough time to finish all my stuff in time and graduate, and I am starting to get over-stressed by that.

So having said that, do you happen to have any knowledge of Unreal Engine (4/5) knowledge? Or someone that would be willing to lend me a hand answering some doubts? That would be of great help right now.

Anyway, I hope you have a wonderful day, I'll keep going with my work in the meantime, still waiting for my teacher, haha.

Best regards,

Pixel Artists, manifest

Posted 8 months, 27 days ago by FrossetHjerte

Good afternoon,

Here I am to ramble again. Still too busy and exhausted, but doing my best. If things work as it should, I'll be moving at the end of the month/beginning of September.

In any case, that's not what this bulletin is about. I would like to ask if a pixel artist is willing to make an icon for me (for TH, specifically) of my dear character Ares. What I can offer in exchange is art. Here are my SFW examples and (WARNING, NSFW->) my NSFW examples. I hope someone may be interested in this wee Art Trade, as I've been wishing for a new ID for a while.

I wish you a good afternoon,

Best regards,

Hello there,

Posted 9 months, 14 days ago by FrossetHjerte

Hello there,

I'm sorry for the sudden disappearance. Many things have happened during the last couple of months, and some of them have left me utterly exhausted. Although I still am, most of my time is invested in working as an artist to afford myself to finish my studies. Hopefully next year I'd finally get my degree to slowly start my career as a real 3D artist, as well as, with a bit of luck, I'd get my Japanese proficiency diploma too. We will see.

For the moment, I just wanted to let you know that I'm still around, just very quiet. From time to time you'll see that I actualise some characters, and perhaps I even upload some sketchy art.

Still, are many things to fix, though. Looking to move to a more decent place as well. Will keep you informed.

I hope you all are safe and sound, please take care,

Kind regards,

- Norbert "Corvus" H.

Hey!

I am surviving my first week wearing my first Invisalign tray. I am still sore, and my lips are dry as a summer in the Sahara, but I am slowly getting used. Sadly, the pain of taking off my upper front teeth from the tray is as bad as the first day. But hey, I am still enduring it as best as possible, which is good.

Now, I wanted to ask you; do you happen to have any tips for drawing faces? Especially the jawline and chin. Aye, I know what you're thinking ''man, you've been in the business for years; you already draw faces decently'' and, aye! But can you believe I still struggle because I understand jawlines, and then I stop understanding jawlines? Haha. I swear. I spent two days studying from references, and when I thought I got it, I found myself drawing a face that would make Picasso proud.

Well, I just wanted to give you the weekly dose of your friendly Scotsman's ramblings.

Take care,

Kind regards,

Anyone using Invisalign?

Posted 1 year, 3 months ago by FrossetHjerte

Hello,

Are you using Invisalign, or do you know someone who does? I need the advice to soothe the pain/discomfort and whatever else you can tell, please.

Do you remember when I told you it'd be about three weeks until I get my first Invisalign trays? Well, surprisingly, I was called the day before yesterday to get them yesterday. No attaches, just the first trays to adapt to the sensation. Well, it's- strange, as it must be; after all, it's a strange object in your mouth, all as expected. But as I have severe overbite, amongst other troubles caused by a past incident, I feel like I will break/extract my upper front teeth while taking away the tray. I swear to you, I am really good at dealing with pain, but this feels like a nightmare. More than 15 minutes to remove the upper tray, in pain, as my front teeth are not letting the Invisalign tray out...

It may sound silly, but I feel pretty sad. I haven't slept at all, and I start wondering if I can endure this after getting so far. I know it's a bit too soon for this, but it is how I feel now. I hope things may get better, but my orthodontist was clear about the fact it's going to be a real deal once the attaches are in.

I think I may need a hug now, haha.

I hope you have a really good day

Kind regards,

- Norbert ''Corvus'' N.

Good afternoon,

How are you doing? I hope everything's going smoothly for you.

I am a wee tired between classes, and work and trying to build some hints of ''spare time for myself'' haha. I think I am doing great, even if my schedule concerning my free time is still far from perfect.

You know, in a couple of weeks I am also about to make a big step (at least for me, it is): I'll be get my orthodontics!  I thought it would be the classic braces. Still, my orthodontist recommended to pick the Invisalign option for in my very own case, I have a skeletal malformation on my jaw caused by a hit I received long ago. So, you see, I decided to make an extra effort and pick that option as recommended. They showed me the video of how the teeth will move to the end of the treatment, and, man. I can't express with words how I felt. I am glad two friends wanted to come with me because, at some point,, I was babbling words and questions, admitting I didn't expect that, considering the injury on my jaw, my teeth would move so smoothly to such a nice position. My orthodontist told me, ''Hey, I told you I can't fix a 100% because of your jaw problem, but you see, I can at least do a 70-80%!'' and, honestly, I felt so relieved. When you get too used to something you believe will not change, it's shocking to imagine the day do something about it already happening. I can't wait these 2-3 weeks until I get it on!

And after sharing with you such a big moment for me, I want to ask your opinion; you know I am studying to become a 3D artist hopefully. Well, from space ships, teddybears, toys and some more stuff, my last two projects were a galley, and a galleon, which I am very proud of, and my professor admitted both were brilliant (100/100 score!); let's show them my pirate heritage by sculpting more ships! Haha.

Jokes aside; the final project for the current module is sculpting 3 Props (for those who don't know: Props are practically every item composing a scene. Example: a chair, a box, a chest, etc.). And I must admit that I have too many ideas and I don't know what should I do!

For you to know, the stuff I don't really like in general is: Sci-fi, and modern in general. And the themesI adore are: Medieval, Fantasy, Victorian/Gothic and literally ALL sea related stuff, and so on.

So, knowing that, what item would you choose? the only one I am considering is a grimoire, from one of my characters--and still, it is not confirmed!

I'll be grateful if you can give me some ideas. Thanks!

Kind regards,

A wee chat with you

Posted 1 year, 3 months ago by FrossetHjerte

Hey!

How are you all doing? I hope you are well and away from some odd spicy flu--I caught it twice in a month, and I've been slowly recovering since it.

Things have been relatively normal here. I work most of the day, then study, and I try to play the piano more often. It helped me immensely in moments of disgust or sadness; I recommend you to play music if you know how to--and if not, learning is also a beautiful and challenging process that I also thoroughly recommend.

Have you noticed? I actualised my User Front Page! I didn't realise how much I needed it until I finished with the last touches. I know it may not be astounding, but I like the fresh change. I am even considering doing the same with my character references as well.

I am also writing way more, trying to put aside my terrible timidity. I have great friends giving me their best advice and opinions, giving me even more strength to be less private about my wee stories. It's been a while without writing something aside from the characters' general information, and I missed the poetry and excitement behind writing a new chapter.

Also, did you ever receive a drawing from someone or perhaps make a collab, and no matter how many years have passed, that piece is still so precious to you? If yes, I would love to hear your story and what's that particular artwork you like.

Do take care,

Kind regards,

- Norbert ''Corvus'' H.

Afternoon Thoughts

Posted 1 year, 6 months ago by FrossetHjerte

Hey,

Did ever happened to you that you were so sure about what you wanted to do for a living and what you thought was your biggest passion and then any other day, you found yourself thinking, damn, I should change my profession, maybe there are many things I still want to do and to experience, and this is not the way I'd achieve that.

Ah, I don't know. That's been in the back of my mind for quite a long time now.

Hope you have a good afternoon,

- Norbert ''Corvus'' H.
